I am way behind schedule again today. Out running errands to Wal*Mart, K-Mart and the grand opening of the Aldi store that moved across town. I found the second book in the O’Dwyer trilogy by Nora Roberts at Wal*Mart.
Book Two of The Cousins O’Dwyer Trilogy
Shadow Spell
Shadow Spell
“With the legends and lore of Ireland running through his blood, falconer Connor O’Dwyer is proud to call County Mayo home. It’s where his sister, Branna, lives and works, where his cousin, Iona, has found true love, and where his childhood friends form a circle that can’t be broken…
A circle that is about to be stretched out of shape—by a long-awaited kiss.
Meara Quinn is Branna’s best friend, a sister in all but blood. Her and Connor’s paths cross almost daily, as Connor takes tourists on hawk walks and Meara guides them on horseback across the lush countryside. She has the eyes of a gypsy and the body of a goddess…things Connor has always taken for granted—until his brush with death propels them into a quick, hot tangle.
Plenty of women have found their way to Connor’s bed, but none to his heart until now. Frustratingly, Meara is okay with just the heat, afraid to lose herself—and their friendship—to something more. But soon, Connor will see the full force and fury of what runs in his blood. And he will need his family and friends around him when his past rolls in like the fog, threatening an end to all he loves”
I hate getting hooked on trilogies. But then I love to read so who cares??
Sunny and warm here today at 64 degrees right now. The wind is the big factor as it is gusting at 30 MPH.
Have a great week. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
you've got the same weather we have in texas. warm but very gusty!
ReplyDeleteSpring is on it's wayyyy! Doesn't it just make you smile all over!
ReplyDeleteI'm a reader, too, Beth, and always have been. Ever read Maeve Binchy? For fiction she's one I love. For historical fiction, I'm a huge James Michener fan with his Chesapeke being my all time favorite. I could name dozens of authors. People who don't get into reading really miss something, don't you think? It's a good habit to have.
See you soon sweet Beth :D
xoxoxo

It sounds like you are going to be doing some reading very soon! I would have a difficult time doing anything else besides reading with that introduction to the book! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteBeth, Finally, no more snow piles on your car. I love this day we had . So pretty and warm. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteWoW....spring has sprung!! i am not a reader but i like hearing about your joy for reading!!
ReplyDeleteI's sure Spring here Twin. And trilogies? Love 'em!
ReplyDeleteNow that sounds more like spring! We are close behind . . . 61 today and plenty of snow melt. Amazing how fast the white world around here has changed!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to tell you- I "met" your friend, Jenny, and she is a hoot! lol Sorry she is having surgery so soon after coming back to blogging. We just picked up Nora Roberts In The Garden trilogy. My dd will read it while resting with the baby and I will pick it up here and there- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteNot quite as warm here today, but it was sunny and 50. A lot nicer that the snow yesterday!!!
ReplyDeleteSpring has sprung for you, Beth!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe had the same weather here in SW Minnesota. But in Northern Minnesota they are having a blizzard. Somewhere in between were strong thunderstorms and a tornado touchdown. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteA new Aldi? Boy that sure brings back memories of when we lived in Southern Illinois about 20 years ago. I loved that store! That trilogy sounds like a good one. Have a good week!
ReplyDelete62? You could not have dreamed it just a few short days ago. Wonderful! Enjoy the trilogy...sounds a little steamy. ☺
ReplyDeleteI like Trilogies because when I like the characters I don't want it to end. Some sell together on Amazon and I really like that. Glad you are having better weather, Beth. It is about time! Have a great week. Bertie
ReplyDeletewe're feeling the green shoots of Spring here too, Beth, and reading trilogies. wel...at the very least you know how good the story is if you're compelled to keep reading, and you know what you're getting too... :-) Have a great week...(Jenny dropped by, which was a lovely surprise. . she's a burst of sunshine in an otherwise dull day.. :) ) and saying that the sun just shone through my window, So I shall sign off and leave thee reading. Hugs ... xPenx..
ReplyDeleteNice here too Sis for one day..raining today but at least it is NOT SNOW. LOL Have a great week.. Prayers for you always XoXo
ReplyDeleteMy it has warmed up. Great I bet. We have Kmart, but I don't shop there very often.
ReplyDeleteThough it was warmer than Sunday I didn't go out much. Trilogies and more. Love them. The Johanna Lindsay Mallory series had me hooked on extented stores.
ReplyDeleteIt is always fun to find a great book! Enjoy Spring...just be careful, it is still unstable.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, Think spring has sprung here too, it is good to see. Hope your week is special. Hugs Nita
ReplyDeleteOhhh I will have to add to my library list to check out. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWell we didn't quite hit 60 but we were sunny in the 50's and that felt great compared to the weather we were having.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I misread (Through bleary eyes. I've been up since 5) falconer Connor O'Dwyer as father Connor O'Dwyer and as I read further on I thought, "Why Beth, you scamp!", until I went back and read it again. Still it sounds steamy.
I can only hope!! LOL
DeleteYour reading interest is very good Beth
ReplyDeleteHugs Sheila hope the day is warm for you. x
