and bitter cold but what else is new. I am so expecting it. My car is a giant snowball again and I will have to try and get it cleaned off when the snow is all finished. The countdown till Spring is hanging in there at 17 days. Next Sunday Daylight Savings Time begins. I am not looking forward to that at all. I will take my daylight in the morning instead of evening.
I am reading a new Lisa Jackson book that I ordered from Amazon titled Memories. Actually it is two of her books from the late 1990s. Have you noticed that the really popular authors are releasing a lot of their earlier works at the price of their new books? I don’t remember reading this one before so I am enjoying it.
A HUSBAND TO REMEMBER
“Nikki Carrothers wakes in an island hospital with no memory of her past, how she got there or of Trent McKenzie—the man claiming to be her husband. Though she's undeniably attracted to him, Nikki's not sure he can be trusted. Even as her memory returns, he's the one piece of the puzzle that remains a mystery.”
NEW YEAR'S DADDY
“Veronica Walsh is haunted by the memory of her late husband, having lost him years ago in a ski accident. Now she focuses solely on her daughter, Amy, certain that no man could ever fill the void in her broken heart—until Travis Keegan comes along.”
All material is from www.amazon.com.
Have a peaceful Sunday. stay safe and be happy!
Beth
I seem to get more done with the longer days, so I don' mind the light. Hoping it will turn things around and winter will go quicker. Prayers for you always, XoXo
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good book, Beth. I can't believe that we are that close to Spring- pretty sure that is NOT going to happen here. We will be well into April before our snow is melted.....ugh- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteIt is very grey outside. We are supposed to get a foot of snow again today. Your blog entry is one way of warming up. Thanks. You are an inspiration !
ReplyDeleteI hope Mother Nature is looking at her calender! Snow last night here too! I don't remember seeing this book either.
ReplyDeleteBeth, It's a good thing you have reading material....can't go out and play. We have the snow also. It won't last. That is the only comfort I can offer. Blessings to you this Sunday morning. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeletethis time change is always the hard one - losing an hour just messes me up. :)
ReplyDeleteWell I would prefer the sunlight in the morning as it would make my drive less traumatic at 5 a.m. The same goes for my late shift. I am waiting for daylight savings time in the worst way and this is the worst way.
ReplyDeleteI light light in the morning - early! Oh well...Hope your read is enjoyable. Stay sunny!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Beth, Why can't they just change it a half hour and leave it alone all the time instead of going back and forth. I can't wait for Spring with the bitter cold and snow this morning. We didn't get as much as they thought we were going to get. They say it is not over yet. To the south this morning not that far they were getting freezing rain on top of snow. The salt won't work that good because of the bitter cold. I have read the first book that you are reading and really enjoyed it. I do that when I am not embroidering. Have a wonderful day. Stay warm and safe. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeletePersonally....I wish the time would stay one way or the other....at my age both changes affect me!!! Prediction for here is ice and snow tonight and tomorrow ....hurry spring!!!
ReplyDeleteShoveling, books and Netflix...that's my new mantra. I'm reading the Game of Thrones books...truly great! We got 24" or so of snow and have been spending a large part of the day shoveling out. It's now 15 below zero but I see high forties by Tuesday...there's hope!
ReplyDeleteWe lucked out and did not get the 10-16 inches they were predicting. Instead we got about 6 inches but also have alot of blowing and drifting. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOur high temp today was 77. Unusual for us in early March. We were glad to get the roses in the ground. Stay safe and warm and enjoy these new books.
ReplyDeleteRight there with you today Beth....we have had a winter day....sleet all day! Oh my goodness!
ReplyDeleteRight there with you today Beth....sleet and a little snow all day today....about 16 degrees....oh my goodness!
ReplyDeleteGood thing that you have that very cheering countdown going on! Sorry about the new dump,of snow.
ReplyDeleteAwe, hope spring comes in soon and I'm with you on the time change. I like my morning daylight and in the summer months it doesn't matter cause the days are long enough and there's plenty of daylight. Blessings!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like here. It's snowing like crazy here again and a foot is predicted by the time it all ends tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the time change. I like my light in the morning too. : )
awww, more snow for us tonight as well. We are really going to appreciate spring once it arrives!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a nice weekend!!
I just heard on our nightly news about more snow in the USA.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are having an awful go there.
Can't imagine all that snow day after day...never could. Probably have to live where there is snow to understand what it's like.
Lovely autumn day here...25degC = 77F
Hi Beth, So far we seem to have escaped the snow this winter. Do hope yours clears soon.

Michiko
Hi Beth more Snow for you oh crumbs what a headache! Rain here and yesterday, but I think and hope it will be dry the next few days ahead. Our daylight change doesn't happen till the end of March. No like it either.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and enjoy those books sounds good.
Hugs Sheila x
I'm not looking forward to day light savings time because my body doesn't adjust very easily. But I will be happy to see spring arrive.
