The week has flown by and it is Saturday again. Life didn’t pass so quickly when I was young with a full time job and two small children to take care of. Jim was working full time at the AFB, driving a school bus part time and working part time at the local hardware store. Those were busy days but it seemed as if time moved along at a snail’s pace.
Yesterday’s garage sales didn’t amount to much. I didn’t find any books. I did find a child’s DVD that my daughter can use with her kids at church. That is several DVD kiddie ones that we have found this year. June is the month of the genealogical society’s annual sale where they have hundreds of books. I am really looking forward to that sale!
I am sharing another photo I took last week out of the car window at 55 MPH. This was on the rural highway not far from my old home.
I really miss the rural scene. At the very end of the street I lived on at home was a huge cornfield.
Have a peaceful weekend! Stay safe and be happy!
Beth
That's a great picture for moving 55mph. I live in a rural area and I love it.

Beth, Love the picture . If you go to an all book sale, you better take some totes.:) When I hit the big sale at the library, I usually have them hold the books till I am done running around, then I pick them up. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYou have gotten very good at taking pics from a moving car. I do the same thing. haha! Lovely shot. We live in a very rural area and I feel very fortunate. MB
ReplyDeleteLove that shot. Looks like home. :) Toledo is a tiny town. I live 2 houses away from a field. I think it will be soybeans this year.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice picture. I feel the same way about time flying by this week and it seems like I didn't get very much done. Oh well, there's always next week... :)
ReplyDeleteAMAZING what beauty you can see at 55mph..wonderful shot Sis.. I often take them like that but my camera these days is now IFFY.. LOL Hope your weekend is wonderful.. we enjoy as we expect rain all next week of some kind. Take care .. Prayers for you always,XoXo
ReplyDeletenice! a beauty for fence day, too! :)
ReplyDeleteNice shot, Beth. Most of mine are at 65 mph in Bill's big rig. I wish I could ask him to pull over sometimes, but it isn't an option in an 18 wheeler!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo, Beth.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I am amazed at how quickly the time flies by these days, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your picture there. Recently we drove out of town a bit and took a few photos here. Easy to see our state is the 4th largest sometimes.
ReplyDeleteBeth your flowers in the header are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI can't remember which group it was in Western Maryland that had a huge book sale every spring, but they always had some special books available for a silent auction. One year X bid on an autographed copy of Robert Frost's Collected Poems. He gave it to me for Mother's Day. It makes me quite happy to have the great poet's book with his signature on my bookshelf. I gave you the versatile blogger award at my blog yesterday (Friday).
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
The scene looks like where I live now. : )
ReplyDeleteI love those huge book sales but don't know of any around here. I noticed that in the comment above Janie mentions a big one in western MD. I wonder where it is!!
Oh how wonderful to go to that book sale. I LOVE books. Nothing like holding one in the hands and reading..and as for the corn field, you made ME nostalgic although I didn't have that pleasure, Twin.
ReplyDeleteIt does remind me of Happyone's corner. Very pretty scene.
ReplyDeleteMy weekend is nearly over, being that it is now Sunday here and a cold kind of overcast day at that.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Sunday. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYes- Time just flies- and the older we get the faster time seems to fly.
ReplyDeleteI bet you do miss your old home and all the memories attached to it- xo Diana
