Wednesday, no rant….

and a positive attitude.  It is much easier on your face to smile than to frown.  Heaven knows I have enough wrinkles from the c-pap mask that I use for sleep apnea.

Did you ever have a recurring dream?  Actually in my case it is a nightmare.  In my nightmare I am always losing my purse.  And I have mentioned many a time before in my blog that I carry half of everything I own in my purse.  I had one of those dreams/nightmares last night and I spent the longest time in the dream looking for my purse.  Also I was looking for my cell phone which is a no brainer as I gave up my AT&T cell phone plan when I moved here and purchased a tracfone.

Now that my sis has purchased a new cell phone with all of the bells and whistles and apps galore the thought has entered my mind to get a new cell phone.  My Twin talked me into buying an iPad last year and I love it.  Do I want to get hooked to another big cell phone bill?  Nah, I don’t think so.

Yesterday afternoon I took my camera out to check out a couple of the trees across the street from me that were sheared off by the tornado last year.

003

They are looking much better since they have leafed out some.  If you click on the picture it will be larger.

I am making another run to Kroger this morning.  A package of meat that I purchased yesterday had a use by date of May 12 on  it.  So I guess I do have a Wednesday rant after all.  Very irritating and I could just let it slide and put the meat in the garbage but I am not going to do that.

It is hot and sunny here today.  I hope it is where you are.  Stay safe and be happy!!

  1. Beth, Taking things back to the store is a pain...but who's got money to throw away. You know not everyone takes things back and the store has their money. Bummer. Your picture was a clear one , hope the trees can leaf out and cover the damaged parts. Hope you are safe today, it's suppose to get nasty this afternoon. xoxo,Susie

  2. I rarely dream, guess I am lucky.
Meat sold out of date...tut! A big supermarket chain in Australia did just that, and got fined a heft sum very recently.
    The trees are looking ok.

  3. Yes, I do have recurring dreams...not especially fun to drive in reverse!

Those trees just need a judicious trim...they look as if they're having a bad hair day. = D

  4. Oh for sure you tell them of the meat or anything that is unclean for our bodies.. We do. And they give us fresh. We had that with a turkey. The manger gave us a fresh one. And apologized himself to Sid.

Nice clear picture. Oh my it sure was tragic but looking a tad better right.
    the leafs sprouting.

  7. I would have taken that meat back too! My worst recurring dream is of a horse getting sucked down in a mud hole! Awful!

  8. I resisted the urge and the pull and the pressure to buy an iPhone for years but in 2012 I finally caved. I have to admit that now I wouldn't know what to do without one LOL

  9. The one occurrence of a reoccurring dream I can remember was one I had four nights in a row. I kept dreaming of a tornado hitting our house over and over again. Fortunately it's never happened...in fact we've moved since then.

  10. no cell phone for me, the screen isn't big enough for my wonky eyes, good for you taking that meat back, too many of us just toss it, the stores need to be held responsible for errors, like that, dreams can be very disturbing, but at the end of the day they are just dreams, you won't lose your purse, you have so much in it, it probably is like an extension of your body by now, I have freind who carries her whole life in her bag, she is never without it, I don't even carry a purse, if it doesn't fit in my pocket it stays at home!

  11. I would take the meat back, it should not have been out for sale. Complain to the manager of the meat department.
I have recurring potty dreams...cant find one and when I do they are filthy:( I sometime lose my car and can't find it in a parking lot.

  12. I agree having meat in a case for purchase and it's outdated it just NASTY..and dangerous. Don't blame you at all for taking it back. Poor trees, I am glad there is still some life left in them. Take care Prayers for you always, XoXo

  13. I don't have recurring dreams, Beth, but I have vivid dreams every single night. I wake up somewhat disoriented, wondering, "Now what brought that on?" :) I dream mostly about working, but some of my dreams are downright unexpected. I think it is a medication I am taking that may be causing them.

  14. I dream over and over about not having clothes and shoes to wear. I keep going back to the old home place to find my clothes. I try wear everyone else's clothes and they don't fit. This is a recurring dream and I think it truly has significance. Trying to find out what.

  15. I would offer up a little rant about that too . . . Maybe they will treat you to a gasoline fill up! Probably not but it is a great idea . . . They should at least replace the meat with fresh and give you an in store credit fir your trouble!

  16. Not being able to find your purse is not too bad of a nightmare to me. My nightmares usually involve a monster of some sort or some weird looking alien. Of course, that's probably because of the sci-fi shows I watch with my husband at night.

It's been raining all day in Pennsylvania... :(

  17. Oh..that would be a scary dream..but I never dreamed that one. I dreamed I was in my night gown at prom and the guy..of my dreams told me it was the best outfit there. My reoccurring dream is awful silly..and scary..the old neighbor's son chasing me through the house with a butcher knife.

Oh..about the cell phone..try Virgin's plan..although, initially..the iPhone might cost a lot up front and Androids are cheaper and do just as much as an iPhone.

  18. I forget things all the time Beth and sometimes I spaz out in my car.....I'm the master of misplacing things:) IPADs are awesome. We have one and enjoy traveling with it. I do have dreams that sometimes reoccur and I'm not sure what they mean......but if it's a good dream, I don't want to wake up.

  20. I have absolutely had the lost purse dream because I HAVE lost it while in Europe. Scary SCARY scary!!! Passports, other important documents in it...oh man. I FLEW back to the place I just was and I was lucky in that the management found it and knew I would be back. I was.

  21. You are doing the right thing. The store should be more careful about leaving old meat in the case.

  22. We have a pay-as-you-go plan with our phone. I would enjoy an iPad, though. It is a family joke about the things that get "lost" in my purse.:-) xo Nellie

  23. That would be a nightmare for sure. I've learned to cut down on the amount I carry now because of back problems. We have a jitterbug cell phone. I see now they have one of those Smart Phones too. I might check into that one.

  24. I had that reoccurring loss of purse dream about 20 years ago or mor. It was reoccurring with different events around it. More recently I have had dreams that seem to be continuation of other recent dreams. I usually like my dreams and would like to remember more of them, but I don't unless I am awakened by some noise or something other than it's morning. :) I love your Lilac picture on this blog. My Lilac is about that size but hasn't bloomed yet. I don't know if it is just late or if it doesn't get enough sun anymore because of trees around it. It did bloom last year. But yours is always a pleasure to look at. Enjoy the pleasant weather. Ours is lovely too. Bertie

  26. Your talking my language when you mention shelf life. I spend every morning, (when I work) going through all our various cases. May 12 is very unacceptable. It's one thing to miss something for a day but ten days is just ridiculous.
The results of the tornado are really scary.
I've have a very cheap phone. Serves my purposes.

  27. I do hope you took your meat back. I went to open up a container of Cottage cheese I bought on Wed. and it was molded. My daughter looked at the expiration date on the container, it was 5/15 - Needless to say they gave us a new container.

  28. Those Trees are looking better , you can see here they have been chopped.
That is an awful long sell date by 10 days, hope you took it back Beth..maybe they will give you a freebie in return.
Still raining here and looks to be a damp Sat and Sunday.
    Hugs Sheila x
