To answer some questions…

and to give an award to my blogging friend BJ.  http://sweetnothingsbj.blogspot.com/

versatile-blogger

Bj, please tell us 7 things about you that we might not know and then pass the award on to anyone you like.

Thank you all for the comments on my blog yesterday!  And now to answer some questions from blogging friends.

  • I am not 100 years old.  In fact, I have quite a way to go to get there.  Some days I feel older than 100.
  • The nearest large city to me is Peoria.  At my old home the nearest large city/cities was Champaign’Urbana the home of the University of Illinois and the Fighting Illini.
  • I did start blogging on Windows Live Spaces in early September 2005 when blogging was fairly new.  My husband had just been diagnosed with lymphoma.  At that time I developed a wide circle of supportive blogging friends.  Many are still with me today, here on blogger, wordpress or at facebook.

Have a great week.  Stay safe and be happy!!

  4. "I am not 100" hahahahaaa...of course, you're not!

Oh, if you're counting those early days, I suppose I could count mine, too. I belonged to an online "club" where members had their own folders. I wrote in mine daily. Gosh. It's good that I have had an outlet for my excessive chattiness. Would you believe that I really have a hard time holding up my end of a conversation?

  6. Beth, I think back on day when my mom would be moving a bit slower...now I know why...dang I hurt at times. Makes me sad to think my mommy may have been hurting then . We can certainly feel 100 without being there. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  15. Hi Beth, I fondly remember Live Spaces, spend quite a bit of time on facebook now and don't get over here to blogger as often as I did. However I still enjoy reading blogs - I never believed you were 100 years old :)

  16. Before I started blogging I was on something called eBoard where you could post little notes.

Funny how some people thought you were actually nearing 100! : )

  20. I just looked at my paperwork when I first got my interent and that was back in August of 2008. Aside from a few visits to the library on the internet I had never really used it. But somehow within 2 weeks of having it I found spaces and had set up my blog and within 1 month met such an amazing group of people like you that all seem connected to each other and were all so supportive. I had felt so isolated for many years where I lived and those people became my only source to connect on a regular basis to the outside world. I know I have at least 25 people on facebook that were on my friends list from spaces within the first month. It was a special time in my life and those friends will always hold a special place in my heart for letting me be a part of their world and encouraging me in mine. Thank you Beth for being a part of that. Hugs Carrie
