Wednesday update and rain….

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers yesterday.  I spoke with Debbie’s husband last night and Debbie came through the surgery well!  Today is Sandie’s surgery and I will focus my thoughts and prayers on her.

********************************************************

It poured rain all day yesterday and it is still foggy and rainy this morning.  Since Saturday night we have received right at 4 inches of rain.  The farmers really needed this rain so I am not complaining.  It is just that the rain is rather depressing right now.

The businesses around town here are sporting some nice looking flower arrangements.  This was taken at the bank that I patronize.

I am doing laundry this morning.  I need to clean too but with the rain it seems pointless.

Have a bright sunny day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. I am enjoying all the flowers and flags around towns these days. We've had so much rain that the farmers' fields are muddy. It may be awhile before any planting gets accomplished. Are you baking today?

  3. I too am enjoying the flowers in and out of towns like you showing Beth. Most towns have those tubs so easy to maintain with the long hoe spray handles they have for reaching. Some towns hang them in the streets. Our does at one part of town.

Summer is here to stay. Ya!

Have a good day Beth. I am washing today as to-morrow is thunderstorms coming and it may mean no electricity for us.

The rest of week company and then to my daughters on Fathers day and stay over at our friends place. So getting the wash out of the way now. ha-ha.

  4. I like to clean when it rains, then when the sun comes out, everything is all done and looking spiffy!! We are getting a lot of rain as well, my veggies and flowers are growing like weeds and I don't have to do anything!!

Today is a good day for you to make one of your big and most wonderful meals!!

  13. Thanks for the info about Sandy. I wrote to her last night. I have been out of touch with my blogger friends. My heart pills low me down quite a bit. I will try and read as much as I can from now on.
    Please take care of yourself.

  16. Rain can be depressing. I try to never let the weather bother me unless it becomes a huge inconvenience, like a snowstorm coupled to a 30 mile drive. Then I'm a wee bit agitated.

I have to admit with 5 hours of work under my belt since May 31, I'm still on vacation time. Today is the last day though.
Good news on you're friend and I hope equally good news on the other person.

  20. Hi Beth! That is such good news from Debbie's husband! And I thought about Sandie all day today....I'm anxious to hear news about her, too. I'm with you about the depressing rain! I'm okay with the cooler temps, though....and I know one of these days I'll be complaining about it being too hot and dry! LOL. Thanks for the photo of the pretty petunias! They're one of my favorite flowers!
