update….

I had an EKG and lab on Tuesday at the hospital.  On Wednesday I was to have the needle biopsy.  It turned out that the PET Scan had shown a false hot spot.  I had another CT Scan while I was in the hospital and  it showed that the right side of my neck was clear.  My doctor called me Thursday and confirmed that the surgery would only be on the left side of my neck.  I have had some emails asking what kind of cancer this is.  I guess you would call it neck cancer, I can’t think of anything else to call it.  My surgery is scheduled for 4 September and 6 weeks later I will begin radiation treatments.

I am so very thankful to you all for the prayers, cards and emails!

My niece remains in very serious condition.  Her dad was rushed to the hospital with pneumonia on Thursday morning and is not doing well.  My sister has her daughter on one floor at the hospital and her husband on another floor.  Please continue to pray for all of us.  Thank you!

Love you all.

Beth

  14. As you can see you have many people who love you and are pulling for you. That includes me. You know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My youngest sister has her medical woes as well. She had surgery a couple of weeks ago and she is recovering well but she got a call from the hospital that there may be further complications including Reeds Syndrome. She is a nervous wreck normally and this is not helping her cause. I hope for good outcomes in all the cases.
    Love Paul

  16. Beth, I had to come by to catch up and I am sitting here with my mouth wide open. I cannot believe everything that's happened since last I was here. Oh dear, I will pray hard for Dee and for her dad. Your sister must be beside herself at the moment and now your newest problem, too! Don't you give up; I know you won't, but I had to say it just the same. Things will get better. The sun will shine again. Remember, things come in 3s and that's 3, so the way to go is 'up' now. If I were only near you, I'd take care of everything for you, from grocery shopping to cleaning, to feeding you goodies...anything at all that you needed. Since I'm wayyy across the country from you, I will be sending up STRONG heartfelt prayers. There is strength in numbers and boy oh boy, you've got those. You are SO loved, Beth, and you can count me among them. Love you dear Beth XOXOXO
