Update….

Getting everyone caught up.  I had the Pet Scan on Monday.  I saw my oncologist and got the results yesterday.  I was really scared to get the results as I have been having  a lot of pain in the area in my neck where the cancer was.  A large area did show up on the Pet Scan.  The oncologist said that he personally thought it was inflammation.  Whatever it is the pain is excruciating.  I am waiting for some word from my kidney doctor to see if there is a med that is safe for me to take.  I am being set up for a series of hyperbaric oxygen treatments.

I will give another update later as I feel pretty tough this morning.

Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and prayer.

Love,

Beth

  6. Beth, Thank you for the update. Remember our friend that had the really bad throat cancer about 15 or 16 years ago? He, too, had terrible pain in his throat where he had the radiation, etc. They gave him those hyperbaric oxygen treatments. At first he thought they weren't doing anything and was really disappointed but towards the end of the treatment they kicked in and helped a lot. The worst thing is that there is not much you can take for the pain without clearance from your doctor.
Praying that something helps you with the pain. Blessings, prayers and love- Diana

  9. So sorry that you are feeling pretty bad this morning...have said a prayer that you will have relief soon. A friend of mine had great results in wound care from a hyperbaric chamber...must be something similar and I am praying that it will work well for you. Think of you often, looking forward to hearing from you again soon.

  10. Beth, I will continue to pray for you. I just wish that I was closer so that I could give you a big hug to maybe help you feel a little better. I know that long distance are helpful. I am sending you many of them your way. I praying that they find a medicine that you can take that will not cause problems with the kidneys. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley

  24. I read about the oxygen - and I hope it helps. I hope you get to take the medicine. And I am hoping and praying that it is inflammation - you had so much work done. I am still praying and thinking about you. Love and hugs to you. I have a friend whose dad was just diagnosed with this same thing. I tell you what. I hate cancer. Love you.

  25. Thank you so much for the update. Prayers that the area of pain is "just" inflammation, and nothing more. Also, praying the pain ceases. Asking God to lay His hand of healing on that area.
