Monday…

which is the day following Sunday which was a very nice day despite the rain.  My daughter and I went to a fellowship supper at the church.  The food was delicious.  There is nothing like homemade cooking made by church ladies.  Afterwards was the Harvest Music Fest.  This was wonderful.  The prelude was the Grace Brass band made up of the trumpet, trombone, two on the French horns and one playing the tuba.  They opened up with My Country Tis of Thee and closed the program with the same song.  In between were songs by the Cherub Carolers (very small children), the Junior Carolers and the adult choir.  There were two different groups that had lead guitar players/vocalists.  I am enclosing a photo I took of the screen in the church that scrolled the words to the songs that were being sung.  All in all I had a very enjoyable evening.  I am very pleased with this church.

We received more rain last night with thunderstorms to come and becoming very windy and much colder  Tuesday night.  Today, however it is sunny, windy and way too warm for this time of year.

I have finally done it.  Again, I have made an appointment for Comcast to come and set up my DVD player  so I can use it.  I have tried everything, even going so far as to chat with Comcast online with no success at all.  I made an appointment with them last month and they failed to show up.  I am not very happy with this cable company as my internet and telephone go out once or twice a month.  Finally there is a new cable system setting up in town that I have been looking at.  The worst thing is going through the telephone and email change.

I have been busy this morning and I need to finish cleaning this afternoon.  No rest for the weary.  lol  Oh wait, I forgot, nobody’s gonna care 100 years from now.  I hope you all have a good week.

Red heart  Beth

  2. Cable and dish companies can drive a person crazy. They say if you get a good antennae you can get the HiDef tv signals free. Nice church and does sound like a good time.

  4. ummmm.....I just left a comment and it didn't take (do you have comment moderation, which is fine, but usually if a person does, it gives me a message that the comment will be made available after approval)

just said first time visiting your blog; loved the tree on your blog header picture! it is absolutely gorgeous with great colors, but then imagined having to rake all those leaves!!

always enjoy a good fellowship dinner or potluck at church; food is always sooo good!

thanks for the info about Comcast and their service; I work at home and depend on the Internet so I need a reliable Internet provider; we don't have Comcast out here in the west yet, but if we do, I'll remember their potential tendency to go out during the month

looking forward to getting to know you better :)

  7. I have to say in the 3 years that I have had DishTV it only went out once during a thunder storm. And I've had no problems with Verizon except for their fees.

  8. My comcast goes out an equal number of times. It's very frustrating and they are THE only show in town as far as cable. I have no interest in satellite. Here when they failed to show up, I got a 20 dollar credit on the next bill for a failed appointment. Ask them if they do that there.

Your weather system will again arrive here later. Then we will have wave 2 of wind and torrential rains. But we need it. (the rains that is) :-)

  10. Best thing to do Beth get them to visit, if they do that is. Good luck it can be frustrating when things just don't work properly or you can't seem to make head nor tail of them. Glad you are enjoying your new church the screen is fab. Have a good day hugs Sheila.
