and a great day to be alive. The sun is just rising good and the temp is 37 to get up to lower 60s today. Absolutely perfect fall weather. The rain never did materialize yesterday and we really do need it. I guess the farmers are happy though as they are getting the harvesting done in record time compared to the wet cold fall we had last year.
I was up at 5:30 this morning and have exercised, breakfasted and have a load of laundry in the dryer. As soon as the clothes are dry I am going over to Kroger to check out the bargains. Tomorrow I have to go for followup lab work so that means fasting beginning this evening. My niece is going with me in the morning and we will eat breakfast at Bob Evans afterwards. I am really coming to like living close to family and not having to depend on myself for everything. That is very stressful. Just think, now at home I would be out in the yard raking and picking up beans, mowing the lawn and getting everything ready for winter. No snow shoveling this winter. Actually, I enjoy doing all of those things except cleaning up the beans. Which I hope gives the new owners much joy.
The fall foliage is at its peak here right now and the colors are gorgeous.
The dryer is finished so I am heading off to the store. I hope you all have a good day. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
It sure is a great day. Sunny here but chilly. Being near family is the best. Not having to do all those chores isn't too bad either. Especially the dreaded beans, lol.
ReplyDeleteIt is a blessing to have family close by and living in an apartment so I don't have to keep up the yard, etc.I'm glad you're feeling chipper this cool AM. Sunny, cool here, love the Fall.
ReplyDeleteYes Beth my family living so far away it is good for you to enjoy them , instead of sweeping up those beans..You are an early bird ..xx
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of HARvesting going on here this past week , the farmers are out in the late evening getting as much done as possible while they can. I can hear them about 9pm each evening passing by in their tractors. Hurrah for the dry weather...it's just the ticket..
ReplyDeleteBusy morning over by you. Have a great day Beth.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeletegood to see you sounding upbeat and happy. It is chilly here and wet - amanda has just told me she heard they are spreading grit on the roads tonight - dont like the sound of that, usually means snow!!!! or at least ice. However if we are to get either then I am pleased they are gritting. Hugs Nita.
Any Tuesday above ground is a great day!
ReplyDeleteHey Beth, maybe I should mail you some locust bean pods to throw around the yard there.
Funny Beth...today I saw a pile of leaves from those trees and thought of you. There's still lots of corn in the fields around here. The farmers are taking advantage of all this dry weather and letting nature dry it down. For once a perfect year for the corn farmers.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you've got family there to help you with things. Independence is wonderful however when you need help you should certainly have it now. I see little but tropical greenery wherever I look around here...not a sign of fall or seasonal change whatsoever except perhaps the mangos that are nearing their season.
ReplyDeleteThe rain never materialized here either...we are very dry. I'm glad you're close to family. You know, I get the feeling you're not missing the beans even a little bit.
ReplyDeleteThere you are. It didn't come up in my reader..which is why I inquired in an email.
ReplyDeleteGreat to know that you are taking such good care of yourself and that your family is close by. Family is so important.
ReplyDeleteThe followup to your tests should be a snap. It's just so nice to know that you are doing well Beth.
Take care and as usual, be well.
Bob
