This has been a rather lazy day for me. To be quite honest, all I have done so far today is to clean out the small hallway closet. I need another room for as much junk as I have. I thought when I moved that I was getting rid of a lot, evidently not nearly enough.
Kroger has small turkeys for 59 cents a pound this week. With careful maneuvering I managed to get a 12 pound one in the freezer above my fridge. This necessitated my cleaning out the freezer, which I hate to do and in the process I discovered a bag of frozen banana puree. I save the bananas that are too ripe and mash and freeze them. This meant I had to make banana bread yesterday which I hadn’t planned to do. Recipe on my recipe site listed under Breads. I gave most of it to my daughter who is planning to treat her co-workers tonight.
I hope this is a super weekend for us all. I plan to do some more Christmas shopping tomorrow.
Beth
Hi Twin! ♥ I just issued an invite that will likely be turned down to the youngest to go picture taking with me to Norris Dam. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteI cleaned the bathroom top to bottom and it is gleaming! Now I need to polish all of the kitchen cabinets of which there are plenty many! :-)
It's been a lazy day for me trying to catch up with blogging friends. I freeze bananas too for my soft serve ice cream replacement.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteI actually did some christmas shopping, on thursday, more next week, once I start I like to get it finished. Know just what you mean about lack of space. I put things away in my flat and then I cannot find them. Hope you have a good weekend, I am off to North London haunts again tomorrow, this time with Callum.
Hugs Nita.
Do you missed for garage sales? it seems need to have one junk room for your unwanted store:-)
ReplyDeleteNOT WORRIED and spend time for enjoy shopping.
Enjoy your day,
Michiko
The Vets need more than lip service. Good links Beth. I hope you have a great weekend. The cheapest turkey is .79 cents a pound here right now.
ReplyDeleteNot only are those statistics heart breaking, I believe they are also shameful for our country. It just shouldn't be like that.
ReplyDeleteWe all need a lazy day at times, or perhaps should say, I need a lazy day at times.
Have a great weekend.
Most of the numbers you posted about the Vets are awful. As a country, we should be thoroughly ashamed of ourselves. It's just wrong that so many are homeless and have substance abuse problems.
ReplyDeleteI'll be shopping the turkey sales soon. Hope to get as good of deal as you did.
Hi Beth, Those statistics are staggering and so sad.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
