Friday again…

and my son did get to come for a visit bringing presents and taking home presents.  Although it snowed here all day, he did have a safe trip here and a safe trip at home. We ate at Applebee’s.  The next time you are there you should try the Brownie Bite that comes with a scoop of ice cream drizzled with chocolate for only a dollar.  The brownie is warm and scrumptious.

This is what my car looked like yesterday morning.  You can click on the picture for a better view.  Notice the cemetery behind me has a nice coating of snow.

This was very early in the morning, about 7AM and then it proceeded to snow all day long.  Today it is clear and right now the temp is 16 degrees F.  I have several errands to run this morning over snow packed roads so I will be glad to get them done.  grocery stores, pharmacy, etc.  The main roads here are snow plowed and the side streets are left to fend for themselves.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!

  1. So happy for you Beth that you got to see your son,and got home safe and sound. That Brownie Bite sounds delish that is my kind of sweet dish. Go easy out there and then you can get home and cuddle up to the fire. Hugs Sheila , (or central heating)

  2. Hello Ms Beth Marie :) Happy, Happy, Happy! Thank you for letting us know that your son had a safe trip... both ways. I'm so happy that you both had this special time together. Family is everything! Ahh, I want one of those Brownie Bites drizzled with chocolate. I clicked on the picture of your car for a better view. It's quite a sight for Jaiden and I to see. We looked at the picture for ages. How do you clean off all that snow without scratching your car? Do you hose it? Or is the hose frozen too? We are both very curious. If we win gold lotto, we'll come stay with you and help you. I worry about you driving around on those slippery roads. Take super care, as I know you do. :) Enjoy your day, whatever you end up doing, and I hope that the grocery and pharmacy have all you need, so that you won't have to go back too soon. God bless. With love and care Kerrie. xOx

  3. How nice your son was able to visit. I like Applebee's but haven't tried the Brownie Bite yet. Usually too full for dessert, lol.

  4. Great, great news that your son made it safe and sound! And Beth, as soon as I saw that, I breathed a sigh of relief because all day yesterday I kept thinking, "I hope Beth is ok. She hasn't posted and she always posts every day", and then I remembered when I saw you today...whew, relief. I can be a real mother hen at times, lol.
That Brownie Bite is sooooo good! Taste buds never lie, do they :)
I'm looking at your photo and that's a bunch of snow even before the rest fell. So I wonder how you drive in it without 4-wheel. Maybe I've just gotten to be a real woos, but don't you slide all over the place? Good grief, I've found something else to worry about.
Awww, Sam says thanks for the great "gorgeous" compliment. He is now preening and seems to strut when he walks. The are both so spoiled :D

;-), and yes, good news that your son made in safely to you and back again...always an extra worry in snow..
They're predicting that our area may get a snow drop of about 8 inches tomorrow...I'm hoping against hope that they're so, so wrong!! Fingers are definitely crossed here, Beth..
wishing you a wonderful week-end my friend.

  10. Nothing that could go wrong with a brownie like that! We have spitting snow and the same temperatures here...I grow pretty darn tired of it but I figure I'd better just calm down...the couple months after Christmas is over are the worst around here. Have a great day my friend!

  15. UGH! I know you're sick of winter too. We have an Applebees near by, but don't go there although it does sound very good. Especially that little dessert morsel you had.

Hope you're having a sunny Sunday.
