What fun…

last night.  I was invited to a cookie exchange by my daughter.  This was hosted by Liz, a lovely lady that I met last night, along with several other very nice ladies.  Liz has a beautiful home which she has decorated for Christmas.  She was gracious enough to allow me to take several photos of her decorations.

Some of the goodies, waiting for the exchange.  My eye is on the divinity as it is my favorite homemade candy.  I took peanut butter fudge for the exchange.  Eight bags with 6 pieces in each.

The lovely refreshment table our hostess provided.  Hot chocolate is in the snow man.  Very unique dispenser.  I had never seen one like this before.

A very interesting collection of old Santa pictures.  As usual, click on the pictures for a larger image.

A hostess gift we were each given.  I love the saying attached to the ornament.  “Friends are the ornaments of my life.”

And I am home from the cookie exchange with my 8 packages of goodies, thanks to the hospitality of a new friend.  Thank you Liz.

  3. I have the biggest smile seeing all that Christmas cheer and love being spread around. What a wonderful idea... to have friends over for a cookie exchange. I even love the zip lock bags the cookies are in! Oh and wow, the hostess gift is such a thoughtful, creative and unique idea. The saying attached is magnificent. I love special things like that, as such a lot of love and care went into making them. :) I hope you had a hot chocolate for me from that adorable snowman. I have one of those but it's plain (blue), it filters tap water, I don't think I can put hot liquid in it, but then again I have never tried. Ahh, I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time out and made a new friend. God bless.

  4. PS: My drink thingy (just can't think what they are called at this moment) isn't a snowman. It's just a plain one.

  5. I am so glad you were able to come last night. I have been hosting these yearly for over 20 years (never kept track but I know my daughter was a toddler when I started) and it is always a fun night. I love making the gift each year to send home with my guests...I am always on the look out for an idea and think I know what I am doing for next year...hope you will come back!

I gained 5 lbs just looking at all those tasty treats.
