Good Morning Sunshine..

It is a beautiful day here at 64 degrees right now headed to the mid to upper 80s.  Of course, along with that comes the forecast for severe storms. Yesterday was beautiful topping out at 79 degrees.  I was able to open some of my nice clean windows last night to enjoy some fresh air.

In the nice weather yesterday I was able to get the new sticker on my license plate for the car.  $99 for that, which is ridiculous for 1 year.  But what can a poor old body do?  Nothing is right so we pay it and go on.

I finished up my spring cleaning and everything looks beautiful, for a little while anyway.  Subject to change at any given minute.

I hope you all have a wonderful day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Red heart  Beth

  4. Beth, I presume the $99 sticker for your car is some type of motor vehicle registration? We pay an annual fee of approx $550.00 per year for motor vehicle registration. But the fee does vary depending on how many cylinders your car is. Then we pay motor vehicle insurance separately which is approx $900.00 per year, for full coverage. Our fuel costs were at $1.42 per litre yesterday. Living expenses are certainly getting harder and harder for so many (including me). I had to buy Jaiden a new pair of shoes for school today (he's worn a hole through the toe of one shoe), hope you're sitting down for this one. AU$109.00, plus he needs a special inner sole at $50.00. I just couldn't stretch the extra fifty, so will have to use the old ones which I keep swapping daily from his formal shoes to his sports shoes. Ahh well, you can't take it with ya I guess, but at this rate, I'll be eating noodles for dinner every night soon. While feeling the squeeze I must say though I am also very blessed and fortunate. Things could always be worse. Enjoy your sunny day. Hugs, Kerrie

  6. Yup, those fees are through the roof---I paid $100 for my 9 year old car too this year. Ridiculous! But, I guess since the people won't settle for higher taxes, they get their money any way they can by high car fees. Know what you mean about those shoe prices too. Max is wearing a size 13 shoe---at least for now. That could change today or even tomorrow. ARGH! This will be the last year we can get cheap shoes at WalMart with those sizes. I guess it's the internet and Tall and Big stores from now on. Have a great weekend and we'll hope for sunny, not stormy weather!

  7. Greetings Beth! It's a pleasant 4°C or close to 39°F here today. It's foggy and we are told that we are in for some rain this afternoon! I don't mind the rain, I open up a couple of windows and find it actually relaxing.
Here's hoping that you can enjoy another fine day. Now that your spring cleaning is done, I'm sending you my address. :)

  9. Seems the prices for everything is going up but the wages, even worse for those on fixed incomes. The only ones getting rich are the rich, oh well. Have a great day, Beth.

  12. Hi Beth, can you come and clean my windows for me please, I haven't got time right now, trying to catch up on people's blogs, LOL
It appears that everyone in the whole world is feeling the pinch and higher prices, though here in Uk our yearly car tax is about £155 don't know what that is in conversion, and fuel is £1.35 petrol and £138 diesel, it's no joke, and where will it end?
I hope the weather settles for you no more storms, it must be frightening, though they are awesome.
Thanks for visiting me and leaving such nice comments. X
