Ouch, Sorry…

Maybe I didn’t phrase that exactly right.  When I was talking about scruffy old men I hope I made it plain that I was talking about guys in the limelight, not specifically referring to anyone in my blogging family.  Our own guys, be they scruffy or clean shaven mean the world to us.  ‘Nuff said on that subject.

This was a very busy morning.  My daughter went with me to catch the garage sales this morning.  There were 10 in one area alone and quite a few others.  I got 20 books, all at a good price.  I am getting my stock built up for winter to save on my credit card bill for my Nook.

All in all it was a very nice morning but I am pooped.

I have been having quite a few ripe tomatoes but the vines are starting to die.  I have thoroughly enjoyed them; it was like bringing a little bit of my back home garden with me.

I hope you all have a great weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

  1. Whoops, so easy to say something sometimes that can be taken the wrong way.

Hope you have a good weekend too.

  2. LOL awwww you are so sweet to clarify this! I'm sure none of your followers took offense. Your tomato plants gave you lots of joy... in fact I was just on another blog and she had to down size and she has a sweet little potted garden. I don't know how much room you have but maybe next year you can have a teeny veggie garden? Here is her link http://cottagecozy.blogspot.com/ and the post is --> http://cottagecozy.blogspot.com/2011/08/our-potted-garden.html

It really is quite sweet and It has given me some ideas for next year as far as making a potted herb/tea garden.
    Blessings, Joanne

  3. I am scruffy right now. It's my faces day off too! I know you weren't referring to me.
I like the picture of you and Jim!
I went to a yard/garage sale a couple of yours ago I came back with a bookcase and a lava lamp. Go figure?

  4. I understood what you meant. My Jim at 81 doesn't shave every day. But I love him anyway. You're right that it does make them look older when they are scruffy, but if they are ours, we love them no matter what. Love your thoughts. From Bertie annonimous again.

  5. Are those tomatoes from the plant you were ready to give up on? Sure glad you rescued it. Good find at the sale.

  9. We understood Beth. But you have to admit there are some pretty scruffy looking guys(not our of course) walking the streets, lol. I'm jealous of all who have tomatoes as I have to get mine from the store. Though right now the farmers market is in full swing and they have some really good ones.
