Hi to everyone. I came home from the hospital late yesterday afternoon. Things went well. Now I have to do nothing for the next 3 days and lift nothing heavier than 10 pounds. Not easy because my purse probably weighs that much. I am tired and didn’t get much rest last night from trying to lie flat on my back all night. Not easy. I see my primary care physician on Thursday.
My brother is still in the hospital and not doing well. He is on morphine for his headaches which are not being controlled. His wife is content with the doctor they have now and so far has given no thought to his going to Barnes Hospital in St Louis. Unfortunately, not my call.
And speaking of St Louis, I watched the game Sunday night and it was awesome, one hit after another for both sides. Kudos to the Brewers too, my hat is off to them. That said, it will take a miracle for the Cards to keep pushing on, but hey, I believe in miracles, and especially the power of prayer. Thank you all for the comments to my last post.
I see a bit of green grass peeking through the straw and leaves which make up my front lawn. My daughter stayed with me last night and she picked up some leaves that got tracked in.
Thanks to my other Bro for cheering the Cardinals on.
Beth

Knew you were routing them on. Sorry to hear that your brother is not responding..know that they will try to keep him comfortable at least and in no pain. I send many prayers to you and the family.. blessings to you all.

Happy to hear it went well with the test. Now just waiting for the doctors report. I think my purse must weigh the same, lol. Prayers for your brother. Congrats to the Cardinals, though I would have preferred the Brewers, :-). Take it easy.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that test is over I hope all turns out well. We are still praying for your brother.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joanne
Hi Beth,
ReplyDeletePleased you came through your test well. Continued prayers for you and your family.
Hugs - Nita.
So glad all went well for you. And I'm still praying for you and your family, hoping your Brother get proper care.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you post. You take it easy now. I missed you and you and your bro are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteHey Beth, you take it real easy, and don't do anything but rest.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad, Beth, to hear it is behind you and so far so good. Prayers continue for your family. This is truly a rough patch for you all. Glad your daughter was with you last night. Hugs from Bertie
ReplyDeleteSo glad your procedure went well, but I'm sorry your brother is struggling. I hope he makes a turn for the better soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your brother. I hope the headache goes away soon!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are done with your ordeal and on the mend. Do everything they say. ;) Thanks for the update. You are both still in my thoughts and prayers. *hugs*
It's hard to find any words to write about you're brother. I know this is very difficult for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to here all went well with you though.
You and your family are in my thoughts.
Great that you are home and re-cooperating. Keeping positive thoughts for your bro. Looks like your Cardinals could win this upcoming Series!
ReplyDeleteBlessings....
ReplyDeleteOh boo hoo, so you don't have to do nothing for 3 days, i say enjoy it, relax and just be, you don't have to occupy your whole day with doing something.,
Sorry to read that your bro is not doing well. I would have thought they would have taken him to the hospital more equipped to deal with, managing the headaches would do little if their is a bleed in the brain. Oh well I guess they get to manage their care they way they see fit.
Girl rest up, enjoy looking at your toes, in fact get them done, get yourself a mani/pedi.
Have a good day.
girl its cold here, on my way to work (didn't have a jacket) when the wind hit me i'd scream and people kept looking at me and laughing in understanding of the cold bite.
I am so sorry that his headache is uncontrolled. I can't imagine how horrible that must be for him. And I'm sure that his wofe and you as well feel helpless more or less as there is nothing you can do though you'd move heaven and earth if you could.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy you are back and recuperating and will be up and running so to speak very quickly. Sending love and hugs and purrs. xoxoxoxox
I am so glad you're home again my friend and keep believing for your full recovery. I know that you have no doubt been thrilled to see the Cards do so well! I had to smile seeing that!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're home but you're brother is not well.
ReplyDeleteYou are both in my thoughts and prayers.
Please take care and have a good rest.
Hi Beth good to hear you got through Monday ok, good thoughts and rest well take care Hugs Sheila xx
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking of you and your procedure. Brought back a lot of memories of my MIL and the heart caths that she would have every so often. She hated lying flat and the "do nothing for 3 days" rule. I laughed so hard at the "my purse weighs more than 10 lbs." statement coz my mom says that all the time. Hopefully you will back on your feet soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that your brother's headaches aren't being controlled. There's nothing worse than a headache that just won't ever go away.
Life at The Big Dog House is going well. Prince Charming is working and we're adapting to his strange schedule. We're living our happily ever after right now even though we still have some rough stretches ahead of us.
Hugs from me and puppy kisses from Rocky and Millie!
