Cyber Monday?

I don’t think so.  I ordered a purse from an online company last summer and since then I have been inundated with catalogs of every size and description.   At least my mailbox isn’t empty anymore.  LOL  Seriously, when I buy something I like to look at it to determine if I really want it.  Unfortunately the purse I ordered was not at all what I expected it to be.  I called the company and they would be happy for me to return it but I would have to package it up and pay return shipping costs on it.  The more I thought about it the more I thought what the heck, put it in the closet and there it has been staring at me every time I open my closet door.  NO! no Cyber Monday for me.

A dreary gray November day checking in right this very minute at 34 degrees, to get into the 40s later today.  Rain in the forecast and perhaps some snow for tomorrow.  You would think my Florida relatives would invite me to come for a visit.

I have quite a few telephone calls to make this morning so this is a very short post.  I hope you all have a very peaceful week.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. Last year was the first time ever that I did some of my Christmas shopping online and even though it was very easy I was still really scared that they would be here in time or be wrong altogether.

  4. I cannot imagine winter in Florida. I spent 20 years of them in Ca and at least it got cold there and even snowed one year. I just would be happy to visit but not live there. You can pinch me this winter when I start complaining okay SIS..hehehe Hope your week goes well. Take care : )

  6. Last year I did a lot of my shopping online at Amazon. It was so much fun hiding out with my husband, away from the boys, and loading our cyber shopping cart with all their gifts! It was even nicer that those gifts came straight to our house. :) This year, however, there won't be as much cyber shopping. I do like ordering online for friends in other states so that it can ship directly to them and me not have to pay outrageous postage rates!

  9. Being housebound, I'd be absolutely lost without online shopping. I mostly order art & craft supplies, office supplies, inks & pens & paper, books, and things like that...oh, and even order my postage stamps online. I do a lot of chair comparison shopping--LOL! If Leah (DIL) wants the best price on something she asks me to look. I have the patience to hunt. ;)

We have some sunshine again today up here. Wish I could send some down to you. Have a super day, Beth! :)

  10. Supposed to be a little bit of snow here tmorrow as well. Nothing like you guys will likely get. This is the third day raining. We are about a foot over normal. I went to work out this morning, but cat litter and since then I have been trying to read down the huge stack of magazines I have accumulated. Sigh. Too bad someone can't read them FOR me. Hee hee

  16. When they send me unsolicited catalogs, I call them and ask them not to and to remove my name from all of their mailing lists. It takes a couple of months, but, finally the catalogs stop arriving!

Rainy here in PA today. 59 ° at noon. Unusual.
