I had made a promise…

to myself to post every day for the month of December.  I have just about let Sunday go by without posting.  I know you have all been waiting patiently.  LOL  Especially RB.  C’mon RB why don’t you admit that you enjoy reading my gossip.

I have been busy today doing all sorts of things.  Trying to get ready for my son’s coming home for our Christmas with him.  I really do miss him.  since I moved I don’t get to see him as often as I would like.  Right now the date stands at Christmas Eve.

My freezer in the trunk of my car is getting full of goodies.  Today I made 2 big batches of Chex Mix.  I can’t forget my SIL as he likes it too.

I also made a store run as my niece is coming for lunch tomorrow.  That will just be sandwiches and soup.  I did buy some chicken thighs which I removed the skin from, coated with beaten egg and dipped in Italian bread crumbs.  I have them in the oven now.  That will be my supper.  Not sure what else I will have with it.  Better than a TV dinner anyway.

It is a bright sunshiny day and the temp is holding at 45 degrees right now.  I should bundle up and go for a walk but I am too tired right now.  I did walk all around in the store this morning.  I have been going to Kroger for over a year and a half now and I still can’t find half the stuff I want.  So by the time I have found everything I am looking for I have enjoyed a nice little walk.

I did it, this is 11 days in a row I have posted.  Only 20 more days in the month.  Just think, only two weeks till Christmas

You all come along with me as my Twin has a lovely clean floor and she will be serving refreshments about 6PM CST that would be 7PM EST.  Now don’t go to any trouble Carole, we will help you celebrate the Admiral’s birthday.  I am bringing a huge decorated birthday cake.

Beth

  1. What a busy lady you've been. I love Chex mix too. Save me some, lol. Since they closed our Cub store I still haven't gotten used to Woodman's and hate WalMart. Hey, I like reading your gossip. Keep it up.

  3. You put me to shame Beth, i just can't put my mind to posting once a week now, and it takes me an effort to surf through the blogs of friends like yourself that I hate missing. Family stuff is getting in the way right now, nothing bad, just my g'daughter wants me to write my life story for her, also she's asked for photos of all my dogs.
Finished wrapping all the Christmas presents and posted cards. Got some baking to do for club party to-morrow evening, and it's now time for bed here, whew, that's the most I've written all week. Take care, I'll be back.

  5. You are really ahead of me. Congratulations on your blog posts - that's quite a record. I've aimed for once a week, and sometimes don't make that.

  10. I love those chicken thighs and my exercises at Walmart. Kroger's is too far from our dinky little town. Rain is moving towards us too, 40's here, pretty cool for shopping.
    I enjoy your 'gossip' too.lol

  11. Beth I can't take it. This gossiping has to stop! I mean telling people it's 45 degrees and letting them know you store cookies in the trunk of your car! Then you go and mention a cats birthday! Why are spreading this kind of hurtful information!

I can barely manage one blog a week.

  12. My parents live with us and though it wasn't like that always I can hardly imagine not being able to see them when I wanted. We will mark the second generation that has cared for their parents and I'm proud of that tradition. Christmas is fast approaching...it feels like it...cold as can be though there's hardly any snow left right now. I'm ready for some holiday eats but so far I haven't been able to find where they're being hidden!
