at least for now. I am sending it all to Bill in North Carolina along with a wish that he would get a foot or more of the white stuff. lol Our total was about 4 inches. Just enough to blow around good. Maintenance has been over and used the snow blower on the front and back sidewalks and the driveway. In so doing in the back they threw it all up against my car.
I will ask my daughter and SIL to come over in the morning and help me dig out as I am not supposed to be doing strenuous exercise.
The countdown to Spring stands at 67 days and I am longing for it. Yesterday I tried to hunker down but I was just too antsy to do it. So I made some brownies with peanut butter chips and ate a big piece of that. Then being a smart lady I put them all in the freezer to give to my daughter when I see her. I really hate being stuck in the house as it makes me claustrophobic.
“Claustrophobia (from Latin claustrum "a shut in place" and Greek φόβος, phóbos, "fear") is the fear of having no escape and being closed in small spaces or rooms (opposite: claustrophilia).”
And that about sums it up. I now have to struggle a few yards to the laundry room and get my clothes out of the dryer. You all stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Oh, Bill can have ours too. Wouldn't want anyone to be deprived of all this 'lovely' stuff. Isn't there anywhere they can aim the snowblowers that won't do that? Sheesh! The least they could do is shovel it out of your way.
ReplyDeleteThat's the way I feel about winter too.
Okay... I'll send a foot or two to Bill as well! We've had a fairly light winter so far but it's still early! I get a little stir crazy in January so I'm going to do a bit of redecorating!
ReplyDeleteThank God it's over, I hope it goes away and doesn't come back soon! Hope the trek to the laundry wasn't too bad. Stay warm and don't over do it!
ReplyDeleteOne way to cure that claustrophobia is going online and watching documentaries of places far away with sunny skies....Netflix has some good ones.
ReplyDeleteLest I forget to tell you: I love your countdown! It does pass quickly if we don't think about it too much...it really does! It has never started to act like winter here...frankly I've never seen anything like it. Last year was the worst I could remember in a long time...this year the talk of a La Nina winter was making us gear up for the worst and instead...nothing. Have a great day my friend!
ReplyDeleteI like your countdown too. Now why would they thro the snow on your car? I'd complain, really I would. Glad your kids will dig you out. Brownies sound delish. Keep warm!
ReplyDeleteWe got about 4 inches also. I'd be happy to bundle ours up and ship it to your friend.
ReplyDeleteGlad your family will dig you out, but the snow blowing your way was uncalled for.
ReplyDeleteWe just got a blowing shower with no dusting like Andy got.
I'm having a problem, commenting on some, hope this works.
My aunt gets that way every time it snows until her driveway and sidewalks are cleared. I swear that then she wants to go someplace just to prove to herself she's not trapped in the house.
ReplyDeleteI thank God I am not claustrophobic or I'd have gone insane years ago! ROFL!! ;)
" this too shall pass!" Try to listen to pleasant music and read something to help the time pass. The snow is due here tomorrow night. Ugh! Brtieblue
ReplyDeleteHi Twin. Good morning! We had less than an inch of snow but we did have some black ice under it. I got out off my hill though about 1000 and man, talk about cold! Those wusses at Curves did not open! That was a disappointment.

Here you are having snow while we are in sunshine sounds funny. So lovely to catch up again my friend. Hope you have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteAlways Wendy
Hi Beth yak snow hope it doesn't keep you stuck indoors to long. Cabin fever yes I know what you mean. My bucket list would be to jump on a greyhound coach and travel around the different states in America. One day you never know we just might meet up. Hugs Sheila and Wile-e xx Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I am the maintenance guy around my place. Uuugh! Love the white stuff - hate the shoveling! Can't wait till my soon-to-be 5 year old is a little bigger because I shall pass the title of maintenance guy and the chore... to him!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to not look at the pictures....the horror! I'm just going to click my heels three times and say" there's no place like spring there's no place like spring!"
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joanne
