Attention Stephanie Plum/

Janet Evanovich fans.  One for the Money (the movie), the first Stephanie Plum book, starts today at the theater.  My daughter and I are going for the very first showing which is this morning.  I have read all 18 of the Stephanie Plum books.  I will give you all a review when I get home.  So stop by later for an addition to this post.

It is partly sunny and 28 degrees right now.  The temp is to reach 40 degrees again today.  There are 53 days left in the countdown to Spring.

Catch you all later with the movie update.  If you are looking for books to read that will make you laugh out loud you should read this series.  I have noted before that I read One for the Money shortly after Jim died.  I would be sitting there crying and the next minute I would be laughing out loud.  Good therapy.

Beth

UPDATE:

The movie was great and very well cast except for Ranger who was not as good looking as I imagined he would be. Joe Morelli was perfectly cast, what a hunk if I do say so myself. lol Grandma Mazur played by Debbie Reynolds was a disappointment I thought she was miscast. I know Roger Ebert would probably give it 1/2 star but I give it 5 *****s. 1. Oh, I'll be waiting on pins and needles, lol. Hope they didn't do too much damage to it. You know it's rare when the movie is as good as the book.

  2. Can't wait for your review. I, too, have read all but #18 (which is waiting to be read!). Love her characters and those crazy situations they get into. Hope they do the book justice with the movie. Have fun at the opening!

  9. I have only read the first few books but I loved them. They do make you literally laugh out loud. I can't imagine them getting people to play the characters as I would imagine them to be. I know I'll watch it, regardless. :):)

  10. Okay, I am not familiar with this at all, maybe because mostly what I read is certain Christian fiction authors. I'm going to have to check out this Stephanie Plum and see what she is all about! :)

Thank you for the compliment about my family. I try my best to give them the best, just like any loving Mama would do! :)

  11. I have to be honest. I neve read one of her books or have heard of her for that matter. Of course my not reading them matters not in the grand scheme of things. I'm a streaky reader. If I enjoy a book I'll read another and this will continue until I hit a clam. Then my attention gets diverted.

  12. I'm glad you enjoyed the books and the movie. I read a Christmas book by her, before her series. It was so full of a busy mother's rushed and busy life, that it was not a fun read, and no one in the club liked it. So I just never tried again. Maybe I should. There are so many good books and not enough time. I do enjoy some humor though. We all need more laughs. Bertieblue

  13. I can't wait to get well and go see the movie...I adore Evanovitch and have read all her books (I think).

We were just saying that we couldn't believe nobody had made a movie of her books--she's hysterically funny. Then BOOM! we saw a trailer for One For The Money.
