The days…

inch ever closer to Spring.  Although I see no signs of it outside, the calendar says March 20th will soon be here. My one robin that I saw  last week has gone walking to Missouri.  Only 20 more days.  Right now it is 30 degrees and the sun is trying to shine.  Thunderstorms are predicted for this afternoon.

I have been busy already this morning.  I started cleaning in the bathroom when I had to stop midway.  The maintenance guy came to change my porch light that was burned out.  They are so good to take care of things like that.  You have to furnish your own light bulb though.  Now I am not in the mood for bathroom cleaning anymore so I will finish it this afternoon.  I also have to run the sweeper and dust the furniture too so this may run into tomorrow,

I made an angel food cake yesterday with frosting.  Angel food is my favorite cake and I do like frosting on it.  I think I will have a cup of tea in a little while and check to see if the cake was as good as it was yesterday.  I think it probably is.  You are all welcome to come for tea and cake.  You too R B.  Winking smile

I think the frosting kind of squashed down the cake but it is still very good.

Gotta scoot as my cup of tea is waiting.  You all stay safe and be happy!!  Today is my 90th day in a row to post.

  1. Ooh, I LOVE angel food cake, but don't ever make it. I did buy a mix, though, to use in Carol Dee's recent 3-2-1 cake recipe! I could just pig down a whole angel food cake at one sitting!!!! Looks yummy with that frosting too!

  3. I have got to get an angel food cake mix and make Sis's cake. I meant to today and forgot my list when I went to the store.

I love it frosted too by the way. I used to find pink frosted angel food cakes in the vending machines at work. That didn't last long, Strage too, because if you didn't get there first, they were gone in a flash.

  5. 90 days in a row! That's a thing worthy of celebration for sure! I don't think I'd be able to manage a feat like that. It's supposed to be in the forties or there about for the next bit which doesn't seem very spring like either however it's got to head our way eventually. Have a great day my friend.

  9. Drooling here. Angel food is my favorite and I don't ever get any as no one here really likes cake much. Probably a good thing. The hips are big enough ;-).

  10. I'll be right over....love angel food cake! Saw my first robin of the season today but he was out of range even for my long lens. We're hitting at least 60 most days now. I was comfortable in a t-shirt while standing on the picnic table today!

  11. Love angel food--with or without frosting! Haven't had any for years. Looks really good.

Glad you are closer to spring and seeing robins. Your countdown is dwindling. ;)

  13. I hope your thunderstorms have all gone now and the poor Robin didn't get wet.
That Angel cake looks scrummy, and if that doesn't lure Mr Robin back well he's not worth worrying over, I'll take his portion.
