Sunday after…

the night before which I spent at the hospital having the second phase of the sleep study test.  I hope this is it as the rest you get after being hooked up to all kinds of wire thingies can not be described as restful.

This means I am exhausted so I am going to spend the better part of the day resting.  I have stuff to put together tacos for my lunch so I am splurging on that today and celebrating the holiday that my sister declared yesterday.

Only 22 days left on the countdown to Spring.  The sun is shining this morning but it is windy and chilly at 30 degrees.  At least it is warmer than yesterday which never made it out of the 20s.

All for now.  Catch you all later.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. Having to have a day of rest after a sleep study sounds plain weird to me!

But I like your countdown better and better as the days go by!

  3. Enjoy your rest today. I always wondered too just how well one slept with wires all over the place and probably a camera watching at the same time.

  5. I can't wait for spring, not that I want to wish my time away.

  6. I've always said the worst place to get any rest is a hospital. During the 5 days I spent in ICU after my last surgery I don't think I got more than an hour or two of sleep per night. What was really aggravating was one nurse who managed to wander in shortly after I did nod off to wake me up and tell me the button for my morphine pump was lit so I could get another dose! I think they finally discharged me to keep me from strangling her.

  8. I love tacos...and if we're really wanting something good and easy: tacitos! It's cold here too and the snow never melted from last night because it never left the 20s today...sigh...c'mon spring!

  9. I feel for you Beth and don't envy you your forthcoming ordeal, I have trouble enough sleeping without being wired up. I hope all goes well for you.

  10. I can't imagine spending a night not in your own bed but in some sterile (hopefully) hospital room with thingies would be restfull. Well today Beth both you and I are chillin'.

  11. I have a friend who did one of those sleep studies and she said she felt like she never slept there barely at all. It doesn't sound the least conducive to restful sleep at all! Hope you caught up with some at home. :)
