Yes, it is true…

there are only 30 days left on the countdown to Spring.  Actually only 29  if you don’t count March 20th.  Should I quit counting it and move us up a day?  I know Spring is right around the corner as I saw my first robin on Friday.  He was all spruced up with his red coat on.  He tipped his hat and danced a little jig for me.  Thanks Mr. Robin.

I am fixing lunch for my daughter and son and law  for after church.  Barbeque beef sandwiches, potato salad and baked beans.  It all smells good.  Come on over if you like.  You too RB.

It is bright sunshine again today and the temp is holding steady at 31 degrees.  It is chilly out though as I found out when I made a quick run to the store to pick up buns.  It does put me in the mood for Spring though.

My son is planning to visit me on or about his birthday on April 8th.  I don’t get to see him very much since I moved here so I am always happy to see him.

I also looking forward to St Pat’s Day as I am Irish on my dad’s side and Dutch on my mom’s.

Have a great day and stay safe and be happy!

  1. Hi Beth, we are anxious for spring aren't we? I've been watching the birds at my feeders and cleaning house. Keep counting, we'll be there soon!

  2. If I could you know I'd be over for lunch. Sounds delish. I have a feeling winter is not quite done with us yet. I would be surprised if snow gets dumped on us into Spring. I am glad your son is going to visit you. Enjoy your day.

  3. Gee, what a nice meal! I only wish I could drop by however I think my wife has other plans for us. It's 39 degrees for us and mostly cloudy. I'm ready for it to warm up and to do some planting!

  5. I meant to mention the other day how much I love that picture that you have displayed. Very pretty. I haven't seen a robin yet - guess we're too far north, but maybe soon one will make an appearance.

  6. Oh man, I would LOVE to be there. ALL my favorites. But I'd be impolite and go for seconds. Maybe thirds if I like the tater salad.

    Keep counting Twin.

  7. Keep counting but you may subtract that one day. I saw my first two Robins yesterday so I was happy that the first sign of Spring is here. My winter Hummers are still here too. Glad you had a nice day. Beach Gal Bertie

  11. I guess your robins are a different breed than our eth, as we have them all the year round, I always have a couple in the garden all year round. I expect they find somewhere to nest. Many birds are starting to pair up already, I see them chasing each other round the trees, lovely, They say that VAlentine's day is traditionally when they start, and I think they've stuck to that this year.
Hold a place for me at the table, sounds good. MMMMM
