Dreary Thursday…

It is chilly this morning with the temp standing at 45 degrees right now.  Rain due this afternoon and evening.  What happened to the sun??  The furnace just clicked on.

Yesterday was a pretty day though.  I walked over to the cemetery to smell the lilacs.  They are very pretty this year.  I didn’t have good luck with the photos though, maybe because the sun was almost directly overhead and my cameral is just a point and shoot.

I did enjoy the little jaunt though I didn’t explore as it was time for lunch.

I had questions as to why I need the c-pap machine for sleeping.  The answer is very simple.  Three different sleep study tests confirmed it and my cardiologist was pushing for it.  Believe me, I squawk very loud when I think the doctors are putting one over on me.  I went through a lot after I was hospitalized last October where I finally said enough is enough.  However, I am not stupid so I will listen to reason.  I don’t always like reason but I do like living.

I have an appointment later today so I really need to get moving.  I hope you all will try your very best to stay safe and be happy!!

  1. They say you should be able to tell the difference when using the machine they tell me. In time you will KNOW how much better etc you feel using it,if no difference than you dont need it. With all your testing Sis..guess only YOU will know for sure. MY GF has one and boy could she tell the difference. Getting your rest really helps. Have a great spring day!! : )

  2. I'm with Caroldee, I believe you'll know if that is helping you or not. It's 45 degrees for us right now which is nothing unusual at this point sadly Sunday and Monday look like the highs will only be in the fifties...ah well. Have a great day my friend.

  5. We are back to cold weather and may get snow! My husband and several other people I know use a c pap machine and it works for them. Mu hubby can really tell when he hasn't slept well and he needs the machine to get that air down in his lungs. Do you have a humidifier with yours? He needs it with his. Good luck.

  7. Your cardiologist was pushing for it. THAT's enough for me. I do tend to pay attention to my cardiologist, too.

Best of luck with "it" smoothing out... So sleep is easy...

Your lilac pics are lovely. Enjoy smelling the heavenly fragrance, for me. I can't. Would rev up my allergies.

And btw, I never had allergies when younger. Another one of the *interesting* things, about aging. lol...

  8. Your lillacs are farther along than ours. Ours are just lazy. I've talked to them several times but it hasn't done any good.
I don't know anything about those sleep aid machines but if it helps you get your rest then it's a no brainer.

  10. Using a CPAP device can be frustrating as you try to get used to it, but it's important you stick with it. The treatment is essential to avoiding obstructive sleep apnea-related complications. With time and patience, CPAP can positively affect your quality of life and health. Have you noticed any difference?
I bet you look damn cute too!!!

  11. I really like the smell of lilacs. I had one planted right outside my bedroom window. When it's in full bloom it smells heavenly. Best air freshener ever.

  12. I love lilacs. My lilac was dug up and tossed while digging to find water leak. Oh well. Hope your appointment went well and reasonable as you might say.

  13. I love Lilacs. Your pictures are pretty.

My doctor told me that the reason medicare pays for Cpap and supplies is that they would have to pay horrendous amounts out for the illnesses people will get if they need them and don't use them. So I'll keep mine. You will make peace with it, I promise. Beach Gal Bertie

  14. It really is good to squawk and question the doctors. Even if you have a great doctor, he can even make mistakes. You are doing the right thing when you make them explain to you why they want you to take this or that or use this treatment or that treatment or have this operation...ect. Really, you need to be involved in your medical treatment. I have heard good and bad things about that machine, and like I said, my dad never could get used to the thing. He finally just gave up on it. That was probaly 8 years ago though and maybe they have made some improvements.
