and take your darned old law with you. Yep, old Murph has moved back in with me. After my son in law added the windshield washer fluid to my car on Sunday he mentioned to my daughter that I was due for an oil change soon. Marcia told me about it this morning and went with me to the Buick dealer for an oil change. When Tom came to tell me that my car was ready he said ‘but’ your back shock is leaking on the left and the right one is wet. Well I had to think about that one. I looked at where I park my car and sure enough on the pristine concrete that was just poured last fall was a nice round drippy spot. Welcome home Murphy! So I called my BFF at the dealership and he said that I could bring the car back out and they would do it this afternoon. My daughter was kind enough to go with me. Now I am about $400 poorer and Murphy is hogging my television. Anybody want him??
It was very chilly this morning but it is windy and has warmed up to 71 degrees this afternoon. We are under a severe thunderstorm watch.
I took a couple of pics at my daughter’s house this morning.
Here you can see how green everything is getting across the street.
Here you can see how green my kids yard is. Mike has had to mow twice already.
I also bought a new hard drive to back up my computer this morning. Now I will have to wait until tomorrow to use it. I guess I can’t blame that on Murphy.
Enough jabbering or would you say gossiping RB?? I hope your day has been a good one. Let me know if you have room in your house for Murph to visit you.
Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
So that's where Murph went. I have had quite enough of him these past few months.I didn't send him your way but I sure hope you shoooed him on to other parts unknown. NO rain here but maybe some white stuff if this cold keeps up. Hope your week goes better. XXOO
ReplyDeleteThings will surely get better for us both Sis.

OH NO!!!!! Please don't send Murphy and his Law over here! He stops by on his own, and I don't want to invite him. -pout-
ReplyDeleteBut... oil change and 2 shocks and that makes *3 Bad Things* happening. That' s goooood.
Plus getting the new HD. That makes 4! You are ahead of the game! ,-) Well, it sounds good to put it this way, doesn't it?
Wow, yes, green!
Sunny and chilly here too, but didn't get up out of the 40's today. Brrrrrrrrrrr, with that wind. March Weather! ,-)

Hi Beth,
ReplyDeleteOh dear, hope things settle for you and your car.
Hugs Nita.
Oh Man! I thought he went to the people who seem to have everything easy. That's where I always send him. Give them a taste of what the rest of us have to deal with. Sorry he stopped at your place on the way.
ReplyDeleteI am shoving him out the door this morning.
DeleteWell, at least the car should be tip top for a while, right? Cars are expensive, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteWow! It is SOOOO green there! I can't get over it. I bet your tree shot will be all green next month! :)
You are lucky to get away with spending only $400....remember I had to spend $1,253.35 to get mine out of the shop. Everything costs so much these days. You must have a very honest auto repair shop.
ReplyDeleteI think they are honest. They have a very good reputation.
DeleteGood you found out about the car's failings Beth, rather than later. I don't want Murphy , sorry he popped by you. That green grass looks very well cared for so lovely.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day Hugs Sheila and Wile-e xx Another lovely day here.
I sent Murphy to England but I told him to leave my friend Sheila alone. xx
DeleteNo, you can keep him. Don't want him hanging around here---too much to do! Sure things will improve especially when he has left! Just be glad you didn't break down on some lonely highway with your car!
ReplyDeleteI sure love those photos my friend! We hit 71 today supposedly but the weekend doesn't look so nice...I guess it's good to enjoy it while we can!
ReplyDeleteOh dear Beth, i've been away for a couple of days and come back and see you've had Murphy to take my place, I hope that now i'm back he'll go away, though seriously i'm sorry you've had car problems, they're wonderful companions till they go wrong, Hope it will behave from now on.
ReplyDeleteThe tree looks like it's coming to life now, I took one of mine yesterday, no a lot of change, I'll post it when i've got a minute.
My car is due for some service. I have to go to the dealership for this visit. I'd rather go to my regular mechanic. Dealerships never have made things easy or convenient for me.
ReplyDeleteI see you are still having a dust up with this RB.
I had a dust up once with some guy back on Spaces.
Oh this RB is a horse's patootie. He is an old classmate from when I was in high school. He borders on being rude.
ReplyDeleteI like that phrase 'dust up' I shall borrow it from you bro as I am sure it will come in handy in the future.
You see, Karma might be a b***h, but Murphy is a downright b**tard. He comes along and tries to mess up all the best laid plans. If there is anything that Murphy has taught me, it's that sometimes you just need to be able to roll with the punches. Murphy might try to throw a monkey wrench into your plans, but he only wins if you let him. I am so very sorry that when I finally was able to kick his a** to the curb, he made his way to you. ::big sigh:: You are a tough cookie and you'll get through this laughing at Murphy along the way. :)
ReplyDeleteI do believe I will decline the Murphey visit. NO room at all. Nope..not even an inch. Sure don't have room. Murphey, you stay away from here now!!!
ReplyDeleteHad to smile..I remember that dust up Boston Boy is referring to. You did good Boston Boy.
ReplyDeleteMurphy is on my list! he has played havoc here too. I keep kicking him out but he always manages to sneak back in...That stinkin' *&^%!!%^$$@!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh I forgot...
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joanne LOL!
