It’s that time…

again to take another picture of the tree in the area between me and the cemetery.  Not much change to the tree.  I think it is probably totally dead and I won’t be surprised if it is cut down before I have taken the 12 pics of it.  Take note of the background though as you can see the changes there.

First pic taken 5 Mar 2012 at 10AM.  Note the dusting of snow on the ground.  Second pic taken today 4 Apr 2012 a little before 10AM.  Click on the pictures to make them larger.

I have been out this morning to the Kroger store.  It was really busy there.  This week is spring break from the schools and so the stores are filled with kids.

We had thunderstorms last night.  My heart goes out to the folks in the Dallas Texas area that suffered devastation yesterday from the tornadoes.

I need to make my rounds to visit you all.  I hope you all have a great day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. You may be right about that tree if there's been no budding even at this point. I like how the progression of pictures captured the seasons. I have a favorite view that I should try that with sometime. Have a great day my friend.

  2. Surprised the tree isn't budding. Be interesting to see how it looks in May.
Glad people are okay with all the tornadoes and nobody died. Tornado weather has also come early. :(
Have a great day, Beth!! :)

  5. I think you are right on that tree - or it's one that comes out really late. By now it should have some sign of life., Everything else is way ahead of schedule.

  6. You never know. One of the trees in our yard (the only one that was here when we bought the house) buds out later than all the other trees. I keep thinking it's dead, but then out pop the leaves! I have no idea what kind of tree it is!

  7. Interesting photos. The tree is really a cool one, even without buds! It does seem like there should be some growth by now, but maybe it's a late bloomer!!

  9. I said yesterday and aain I'm thinking I need to do that next year. I have a gabillion trees to choose from. I wonder what kind of tree that is, and surely it should be making baby leaves by now. Is there nothing at all on the branches, Twin?

  10. Love the tree metamorphosis! I, too, have a favorite tree to photograph, but haven't had a chance to just lately. Hope it isn't dead and will come back to life. Our silver maple out front is abuzz with bees these days! Happy Spring! Oh, and Happy Easter too!

Everything's going crazy, my clematis at the front porch is taller than me already!!

  12. That really is strange, you would think there would be some sign of budding by now. I have to load up a picture of a tree I took. It just looked so beautiful I couldn't understand why I hadne't noticed it before.

  13. Happy Easter Sis...I love the idea of taking pictures like that..I do agree though..that tree looks kinda bare and sad compared to the others. Hope you see some signs of life soon. XXOO

  14. If I remember right it's a Lime tree same as mine, and mine is only just budding with one or two starting to break, but yours does look a little tired. such a shame, I hate to see trees die. I must take a new photo.
