lots of garage sales..

to go to today so I am running way late again.  It was fun and I got a few things. The weather is beautiful at 62 degrees right now.  It was upper 40s when I got up this morning.

For those that asked, I didn’t speak to Cindy Williams.  I spent most of the time at the festival on a bench by the lagoon.

I am feeling some better today although not 100%.  My new BP meds are kicking the life out of me and the stomach med I was unable to take as I had a reaction to it.  I think sometimes I need to quit eating at all as about the only thing that doesn’t bother me is mashed potatoes.  Could one survive on a diet of mashed potatoes?  lol  Anyway, I am persevering and I have an appointment with my primary care physician and my kidney/BP doctor on the 21st and 26th.  Plus lab work on the 24th.

I hope you all have a peaceful weekend. Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  3. Hey, it can't hurt you to eat nothing but mashed potatoes for a while, anyways. I'd go for it! Those stomach issues can be awful and keep you from being able to sleep decently or at all.

Been cooler to cold here, too. Feels wonderful! Take it easy and enjoy a peaceful, potato weekend. :)

  6. Mashed potatoes sound good to me and maybe some sweet potatoes too? I hope they can make your tummy troubles go away.
Garage sales are fun especially in cool weather. We don't have the 40's yet, anxious though.

  8. Hi Beth,

Glad you are feeling a little better. Hope you will feel better each day. Some kind of bug has me in its grip on and off this past week, sore throat and so tired and bit feverish, so today I have just rested and played about on here.

Have a good weekend - Hugs Nita

  14. What kind of festival were you at? I have missed quite a bit here on Blogger. Now do you use a mashed potato mix or do you use actual potatoes? Inquiring minds want to know.

  17. Yes, I love mashed potatoes, especially the kind made with red potatoes where the skin is left on. Mmmmm, I haven't had those since last week, due for some more soon! Try 'em with some pure pumpkin mixed in. Yum-O! Steamed tatoes w/salsa on top are excellent!

    Pumpkin Mashed Potatoes
1 1/2 cups mashed potatoes (no marg/butter or milk added, just mash the tatoes) I used 12 oz of russets. (I've also used 2 cups)
1 cup pure pumpkin/ pumpkin puree
garlic salt, pepper, & basil to taste. (start off w/1 tsp garlic salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1 tsp basil... add 1/4 tsp more pepper if want spicier... it'll get strong quick so do it slowly.)
....Here's hoping that better days are ahead for you.
