to go to today so I am running way late again. It was fun and I got a few things. The weather is beautiful at 62 degrees right now. It was upper 40s when I got up this morning.
For those that asked, I didn’t speak to Cindy Williams. I spent most of the time at the festival on a bench by the lagoon.
I am feeling some better today although not 100%. My new BP meds are kicking the life out of me and the stomach med I was unable to take as I had a reaction to it. I think sometimes I need to quit eating at all as about the only thing that doesn’t bother me is mashed potatoes. Could one survive on a diet of mashed potatoes? lol Anyway, I am persevering and I have an appointment with my primary care physician and my kidney/BP doctor on the 21st and 26th. Plus lab work on the 24th.
I hope you all have a peaceful weekend. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
mashed potatoes are my comfort food, so i'd definitely be good for a while. sooner or later i'd need some protein, though. glad you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteYour weather sounds nice. Not quite that cool here yet.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling a bit better and pray you will improve each day. : )
Hey, it can't hurt you to eat nothing but mashed potatoes for a while, anyways. I'd go for it! Those stomach issues can be awful and keep you from being able to sleep decently or at all.
ReplyDeleteBeen cooler to cold here, too. Feels wonderful! Take it easy and enjoy a peaceful, potato weekend. :)
Have fun garage saling. I am so sorry your tummy is so bad. I take an anti-inflammatory that is really hard on my stomach, too. It is miserable- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI wish I could go to some garage sales, but it's raining here. Maybe some will blow your way. I think a diet of mashed potatoes would be very yummy!!
ReplyDeleteMashed potatoes sound good to me and maybe some sweet potatoes too? I hope they can make your tummy troubles go away.
ReplyDeleteGarage sales are fun especially in cool weather. We don't have the 40's yet, anxious though.
I've had mashed potatoes two days running Beth, I love them especially with onion gravy. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, though have a little way to go, let's hope they sort something out when you go back. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling a little better. Hope you will feel better each day. Some kind of bug has me in its grip on and off this past week, sore throat and so tired and bit feverish, so today I have just rested and played about on here.
Have a good weekend - Hugs Nita
Love that big red tree!!! Glad you are feeling better, hopefully they will get you all straightened out soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you continue to get better and that you can soon eat more than mashed potatoes. The garage sales sound fun. Autumn is a great season for garage sales. Hope we have some good ones around here soon. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteWell I happen to Love mashed potatos, So I'd be OK. Hope you will be too. Take Care!
ReplyDeleteI say if mashed potatoes make the tummy feel ok then eat them as often as you can :))
ReplyDeleteI do hope you feel some relief soon Beth please take care & know I have you in prayers and giving you BIG HUGS!!! Rest, Relax, & Remember (you are loved)
I could live on mashed taters - they are a fav of mine, too! Take care of yourself, dear.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of festival were you at? I have missed quite a bit here on Blogger. Now do you use a mashed potato mix or do you use actual potatoes? Inquiring minds want to know.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I sure hope they can get your meds all straightened out. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI hope the pills get better for you, that is no fun! Have fun garage sales and lot's of bargains!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love mashed potatoes, especially the kind made with red potatoes where the skin is left on. Mmmmm, I haven't had those since last week, due for some more soon! Try 'em with some pure pumpkin mixed in. Yum-O! Steamed tatoes w/salsa on top are excellent!
ReplyDeletePumpkin Mashed Potatoes
1 1/2 cups mashed potatoes (no marg/butter or milk added, just mash the tatoes) I used 12 oz of russets. (I've also used 2 cups)
1 cup pure pumpkin/ pumpkin puree
garlic salt, pepper, & basil to taste. (start off w/1 tsp garlic salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1 tsp basil... add 1/4 tsp more pepper if want spicier... it'll get strong quick so do it slowly.)
....Here's hoping that better days are ahead for you.
