however I did get out to check the garage sales which turned out to be a total waste of time. I think the garage sales are done now until next spring.
A garage sale in the rain!
Then to food depot where I got the large boxes of Kleenex for 88 cents and Rays Chili for 88 cents. They are having an 88 cents sale on a lot of things for 4 days, Thursday through Saturday. I stocked up!
The Cardinals won last night 8 –3. It was a very exciting game. I think though that these night games are a bit too much for me. lol I get so wound up in hollering for my team that I have to unwind before I go to bed. The next game is tonight at 7PM CDT.
It is still drizzling outside and the temp is 48 degree so I am in for the rest of the day.
Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Its lucky to hit some of those sales.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend :-)
Have a great weekend Beth I can picture you getting all excited over the game:) B
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Beth! It takes me a LONG time to wind down! I sure hope we win tonight, so we can clinch it at home!! I'll be watching, right along with you! :)
ReplyDeleteToo wet out there for me! Enjoy the games and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteWe've had rain and sun here today and some really cool looking clouds.
ReplyDeleteNasty for Garage sales..that is how I got sick..sitting out in the cold all day long. I feel for those who are toughing it out because business can't be too great. SIS do you think it will be CARDS VS TIGERS?..last time that happened.. CARDS won I believe..Good luck to them.. TAke care and stay warm..
ReplyDeleteXXOO
Thanks Sis. And good luck to the Tigers too. I had to say that :-) although you know I hope my team wins.
Deletewe had rain today also!! a great day for inside things!! enjoy the game!!
ReplyDeleteGood Evening, Beth. It's frustrating to get out in the rain/cold for a garage sale with nothing of interest.
ReplyDeleteI think I've told you before, we have Food Depot and I love to shop there. You got some good deals this week.
John wants me to tell you that since he grew up in Detroit, he'll be cheering for the Tigers - I, HOWEVER, will be joining you in cheering for the Cardinals! How's that???
I think that is great Mildred! I have a lot of family in the Flint Michigan area so I expect they will be cheering right along with John for the Tigers.
DeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great weekend and thanking you from me and George for your prayers, last night was much better. Today the hiccups have been only a few, so hoping and praying for a good night.
Hugs Nita.
Sounds like you got some bargains. I hope you have fun watching the game. Rainy night, good time to stay in. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteToo bad you arent here...Next Saturday we are having a large community wide one. It is a really big deal, lots of people chip in and participate. Glad you got some good deals though.
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO!!!!! Oh, my gosh! You HOLLER!!!! You are just like my mother in law used to be with the Dallas Cowboys. She ended up with a doll of one of the players that you could tear off the head and legs and arms and throw them at the tv if they made you mad. I'm so glad baseball brings you so much enjoyment. I wish I was so enthusiastic about something.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had a Food Depot here....I'd stock up too. 88cents is a bargain for anything these days!
Gotta love those stock up sales!
ReplyDeleteYou having some bargains for this weeks!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend!
It hard to do a garage sale in the rain - but I bet they are over for the season.
ReplyDeleteWe had rain and 40 degrees here today too. Supposed to be a little nicer tomorrow so I'm going out to a garage sale. I'm cheering the Cardinals on for you.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, Yay! I'm glad the Cardinal's won. I had to giggle 'cause I can relate to staying up late to watch sport on TV and getting worked up hollering away at the TV screen. Hehe, so funny. Thanks for the smiles. I've missed you so-oo much!!! With love and care, Kerrie
ReplyDeletePS: Jaiden sends love and hugs too.
Have a Lovely weekend Beth , good to hear The Cardinal's won .
ReplyDeleteBet that brought a smile to your face.
Hugs Sheila xx
Hello Beth, sorry I've missed a couple of posts. You team winning should make up for your lack of bargains at the garage sales eh! Keep warm and dry, indoors is the best place to be on a rainy day.
ReplyDeleteBall games of any kind tend to do that to us don't they. I hate it when I csn't sleep because of the outcome of a football game. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI get that way about college football games.
ReplyDeleteIt finally quit raining here. I went out with the camera and the leaves are past peak now. Good thing I went out
Oops..good thing I went out Monday to take pictures of the leaves because they are starting to turn brown and fall. Short time of color it seems. Mtherevarebs
ReplyDeleteBeth, I could watch nascar and ballgames in person...but can barely sit still, if my favorites are on tv. Too nerve racking. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteDang it I am having such a bad time with comments.. so sorry for the mistakes and me keeping on coming back.
ReplyDeleteOh I know what you mean about these night games..I wish they'd have these playoffs earlier in the evening so we could watch all of it..We have a certain bedtime and like you said it hurts.. My team is the Braves but since they lost, I'm rooting for the Cardinals..Gooo Cardinals.
ReplyDelete63 and grey for us though no rain at the moment. I'm not a garage sale type person but I have a friend that sure is...I wonder how this weather is effecting him... Hope you're having a great weekend my friend.
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about the yard sales. I sometimes have found a unique Christmas gift at one. Fortunate today in that I found a Christmas gift at the flea market.
ReplyDeleteIt's been unsettled here today, yet mild enough to not have to run the furnace. Always a good thing. Hope that the 7 pm game is a better time.
sometimes you strike gold at yard sales....you just never know...
ReplyDeleteenjoy the rest of your weekend!
I have to admit, I am tired of rainy days. I could go for a good old long hard and hot drought. Don't be shocked, I live in Sweden and I'm from San Diego CA. *smile*
ReplyDeleteThe closest I come to watching playoffs anymore is CNN News and reruns on a Svensk Sports Channel.
Hey....send it our way:) We need some over here:)
