has stopped for a little while. We needed this rain so much last summer and now it is like a leaky faucet that won’t quit dripping. Yesterday was thunderstorms off and on all day. The Cardinal game was delayed because of rain in the bottom of the 7th.

After a 3 & 1/2 hour delay the Cards came back to beat the Giants. What started out as an afternoon game didn’t finish until almost 10PM CDT.
The next game is tonight and we have rain predicted for later on today. We are really whittling down the rain deficit that we have had all year. I think it is right around 7 inches below normal right now.
I am not sure what I am going to do today. I need to get out a little bit for some fresh air before it starts raining again. It is 42 degrees and sunny right now.
Thank you to everyone who commented on my post yesterday. It brought back a lot of memories for me.
Have a peaceful day. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
I believe everything happens for a reason, and maybe, just maybe, that leaky faucet that keeps dripping on ya'll let the players rest up enough to win that game....just for their favorite fan! I'm so glad they won and am crossing my fingers for you that they will have another win tonight....with less leaking! Hope you have a wonderful, DRY, coolish-warm enough day!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish it were possible to send your rain our way. We are terribly dry.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day and your game!
So bummed that the Giants lost! Yes, I'm a Detroit Tigers fan (since childhood) but I'm also a Giants' fan (living here in the SF area). The teams are all playing so well this year---it's good to see that! I don't know how people can say that baseball is boring---not after all those "comebacks" and 9th inning surprises! Enjoy the last of the BB season!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth
ReplyDeleteIt never rains but it pours :)
Hugs Nita
Nascar has been rained out at times, disgusting when that happens. I can imagine how you feel when your fave game is delayed. Send the rain down here and the 40's temps. It's about 66f here now.
ReplyDeletei am glad your area is getting replenished, though.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm ready to watch more baseball today.:) We have a greater than average rainfall total of over six inches! It's hard to believe we had such a drought in early summer.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Beth, and have a good Thursday!
xo Nellie
I hope you will be able to get out and get some fresh air today. We are having a beautiful weather day here today. Enjoy your baseball game.
ReplyDeleteWE are about 10 inches above normal just now and we've had a very rainy Octiber. :-( I had Erich home and we've been gone to various appts etc all day till now. Hope you get a decent rest of the weeek, Twin.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your cards tonight, I hope they continue to win!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you were able to get out and about a little today. Enjoy the game tonight!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like maybe the Cards might be playing the TIGERS..hmmmm
ReplyDeletelet the best team win..:-)
I think cold rain is not very nice. I agree that it should have rained more during the summer :))
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need the rain, but I don't want your game rained out. :)
ReplyDeleteThat rain sounds so nice. We still need some here. But it sounds like perfect fall weather. Apple cider?:)
ReplyDeleteI think as same as your country has too much rains.

We are about where you are in the rain department. So far the little spits of rain we've had haven't made much of a dent in things as far as I know. I hope you get to enjoy the day a bit before the weather changes.
ReplyDeleteBeen raining here since Wednesday...or should I say drizzling. We had one night with ferocious winds, but otherwise it has been leaky. ;)
