Sleepless night…

Last night was one of those nights where I just couldn’t get comfortable.  The night seemed unending and I just wanted morning to come.  Did you ever notice that when you are having a restless night that you can’t seem to find anywhere to put your arms?

We had some rain last night and then falling temps.  It was 34 this morning when I got up.  It is sunny and beautiful  but cool as it will only make it to the lower 50s today.

I am psyching myself to clean this morning but first I have feel a little bit better.  If I can’t get it all done today I will ask my daughter if she will come over tomorrow and give me a hand.

I hope the sun is shining today wherever you are and that you appreciate the new day you have been given.  I surely do.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. Oh yes, I agree..no place to put your arms and squirming almost constantly trying to find a better spot as well as a comfortable place for your arms. Until you said that I hadn't put my finger on it.
I hate those nights and any more I use an ATC sleep aid which is really benadryl I understand. At least I won't break out in hives while sleeping when I DO sleep.
I just cleaned the bathroom. I got myself worked up to do it while I was working out. Now that's out of my hair.

Feel better today girl and take a little nap.

  5. Kassey and I both have those nights. I just turn on the TV to get back to sleep. We're having the nice cooler temps too but no rain.
We don't have to do all our work in one day. Just take care of you first.

  8. So sorry to hear about your restless night. I pray that you can rest soundly tonight.
It was in the low 50's this a.m. but the sun is shining and I enjoyed walking at the park. It has warmed up to 71 this afternoon.
Don't overdo with the cleaning; it can wait and I'm sure your daughter will be happy to assist you.
    Take care.

  10. I had a night like that Sunday night. Been sneezing and blowing my nose and tired since then. Either a cold or allergies. But I still appreciate every day--yes!! Don't push yourself. I'm sure your daughter will help you tomorrow. :)

  11. I hate nights like that my friend, I'm very sorry for that. It's been quite cool now though I see 76 for a high out there...I'm looking forward to that to be honest. I pray that you get to feeling better soon and get any help you can. Bless you Beth.

  13. That's an excellent observation! So true. I had one of those nights last night. I'm ready for a nap this cold, rainy afternoon. Must say that seeing the little Punkin in the pumpkin patch was a little ray of sunshine.

  14. When I can't sleep I can't figure out what side to lay on and I keep going from one side to the other. So I guess I don' know what to do with my whole body!! : )
Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight!!

We started out with early morning mist, now it's a mixture of sun and clouds and quite nice with a temperature of 70.

  23. I understand Beth. Some nights, my bed, with its plush mattress, becomes a battleground as I toss and turn, legs tangled in the sheets. I demand that my body do what it should know to do instinctively: Sleep! But it doesn't. I bargain (Please, I'll...). I threaten (I will chuck the clock out the window). But ultimately, I am left with nothing but the stark reality that tomorrow... is going to be brutal. And so it goes for the insomniac aka: me, for some nights. Here's hoping that we both have better sleeps to come.

  24. Yea I can relate. My doctor changed my medicine and it causes insomina...So, for the past 2 nights, I have laid awake. Tonight, I am taking some unisom..got to do something to sleep. Good luck tonight..hope you get some rest.

  26. Hi Beth, I hope you recovered enough to have a good go with your cleaning. Though it is fortunate you have a daughter who is able to give you a hand. Take care and hope you get some quality sleep soon.

  27. Oh I had a restless night the other night after my long bike ride. I was soo tired buy do you think I could sleep. Yes I so agree about where to put the arms when you can't sleep. The nights I put earplugs in I sleep like a baby. Don't hear the hubby snoring or the cat scratching at the bedroom door wanting in or out. Even helps shut my mind off to outside thinking. Today was a good day in cleaning. Between rains I got all my outside windows cleaned and the car. Oh I am sure you wonder why I would wash the car when it's raining. That was to get the 1/2" of dust off from our dirt road. Now it is ready for the mud. Well have a wonderful week Beth. Hugs Carrie
