I am off this morning to the pharmacy and to the circuit clerk’s office to early vote.
My Cardinals lost last night. I have mixed feelings about that. For one thing I am glad I don’t have to sit on the edge of my chair again till next year, and who knows, the Cardinals can rise again. It is my duty now to holler for the Tigers. LOL
I will catch you all when I get back from doing my civic duty.

When I read that next to the last line, for some reason an old song popped into my head....I think it was Lee Greenwood and I think it was called I'm Proud To Be An American...."I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free...and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me and I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I was watching the Giants/Cards game last night! Yes, I was rooting for the Giants, but now I'm in a dilemma: I've been fans of the Giants since moving here to CA, but I've been a Tigers fan since I was a small child. Yes, I'll root the hardest for the Tigers, but no matter who wins, I'll be happy! Glad to hear you will be cheering the Tigers on too!

ReplyDeleteWe've finished voting here via absentee ballot and got all those things sent off which is a relief...if only it meant the end to the turmoil...I don't see that ever ending at this point. Sorry about the loss for your team...as you say better luck next year.
