You have done well taking pictures of your tree. So many times I plan on something like that and then don't follow through. You should be proud of yourself for your stick-to-it-tiveness!
Great series of shots. I hope your tree comes back next spring. Sometimes it takes several years for everything to get back to normal....with a tiny bit of pruning.
oh Beth I love the Halloween back ground soooo cute and that lil cutie you got to model with the pumpkins such a great addition to this page. I love the tree and how you have all the seasons represented, I am a sucker when it comes to trees I just love trees. (((HUGS)))
I've seen trees like that which look like they are more than half dead yet year after year they soldier on and some even seem to thrive eventually. We had an old apple tree on some property we owned out of the city years ago...it was split in half by a storm yet managed to have a tremendous crop of apples year after year...go figure!
Good idea Beth. Why didn't I think of this? The leaves are just begining to turn around here. Time to go to my favorite haunts and snap a few pics. I also have a favorite tree down by the lakes. Maybe Monday if the weather cooperates.
You have certainly captured this tree from all angles... or should I say through all it's glorious changes. Hope to see it's continued transformation in the next couple of months as well.
Just catching up here with so much of your life I have missed. I always love your monthly photos of the tree. I do hope they trim the dead and also trim it back this winter. It really could be such a big bushy tree again.
