What’s happening..

on an October Tuesday in central Illinois in the USA?  Actually not very much.  It is an unbelievable day weather wise at 66 degrees right now and to get up to the upper 70s today.  The sun is shining brightly.  A cold front is to go through tomorrow bringing rain and colder weather with it.

I have been out to a couple of the stores, mainly for milk and bread then back home here where much to my surprise not very much was happening.  I thank God for that because I can handle nothing happening a lot better than I can handle a bunch of unwanted stuff happening.

The Cardinals lost last night so the games are tied 1 – 1.  No game tonight, another presidential debate.  So that means no NCIS either.  I will be glad when the election is over.

If you made any sense out of what I just said, then my hat is off to you. Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  3. I can't wait until the election is over too...too much nonsense and not enough real work to make this country better. I love your quote at the top of your page...AMEN to that! LOVE IT!
Have a great day and enjoy the warm weather!

  4. Enjoy the warmer temps. I know how October can get out there in the middle of the country:) If it rains, enjoy....I'd love to get some of that wet stuff here. In Tucson, we're at 93 degrees. Still nasty hot here.

  15. Hi Beth! Your post made perfect sense to me! I also love those "nothing kind of days." It started out cool and fall-ish feeling this morning, but hit around 80-something! It was a bit too hot when Vern and I went on our walk. I still had on jeans and about had heat stroke! Ha! Not really! And yes....the Cards should play fantastically at home tomorrow!!

  17. Had a day of 87 whew but inside our office it was freezing. Does that make sense?? Because I thought you were just pulling my leg on yours lol love ya Beth (((HUGS))) oh I was wondering what is your go to candy when you are battling a sweet tooth?? I know most people say chocolate & yes I agree chocolate is good but I mean like hard candy or chewies. I am a fan of butterscotch drops or anise (black licorice).

  18. Well, you didn't have to take your hat off, but I got you! I will be glad when the election is over. It is draining on so many levels....not even going to go there.
I hope your Cards win and go on. Stay safe and dry!

  19. We got a cold front too....it brought high winds that really get old. I'm hoping it will calm down for some pictures of a nice fall looking tree tomorrow...will there be any leaves left I wonder?
