  5. Hi Beth,

We remembered too, in church this morning at 11 a.m. this year it was the 11th hour of the 11th day, on a Sunday.

  6. Blessings....
Love your caption in your header, tell the turkey it's safe as we are not big on turkey here.

May we all understand the magnitude of the sacrifice befallen those who voluntarily step out there and do what's needed whether we believe in the cause or not, may we truly understand and be greatful.

    peace.

  8. Thank God for all our Veterans! They gave so much. We need to take time to thank them...that's the least we can do.

  16. I thank my veteran everyday. They gave away their youth and their innocence so that we can have freedom. My favorite song that memorializes the Vietnam war is Goodnight Saigon. My favorite line is "they left their childhood on every acre." Paul Hardcastle sang a song called Nineteen....which told the average age of soldiers in WWII was 26....in Vietnam, it was 19. And then they if they made it back home, they were spat on and called baby killers....when most of them had been drafted and just did what they were told to do. As a nation, we should be ashamed of the way they were treated....so, yes, I make sure my Vietnam veteran, who served two tours over there, knows everday what a hero I think he is.

  17. Beautiful monuments, but no monument can do justice to the sacrifice they have made for us. A close second though.
