Wednesday…

Sunny and cold.  No snow on the ground and no rain or snow predicted for the rest of the week.

Yesterday I went to Kohl’s with my daughter.  They had a lot of nice Christmas items on sale so I got a few of those and my daughter got some new  socks.  I like Kohl’s as they carry my favorite jeans there.

I finally dug out my knitting bag for the first time since I moved here.  At first I thought I had forgotten how to knit but it is just like riding a bicycle, once I picked up the knitting needles it all came back to me.

Yes that is my big old recliner that I sit in all of the time.  Anyone who visits knows it is my chair and they sit somewhere else.  LOL

I need to get busy and clean the bathroom and I am still working on clearing out the CDs.  Sherry, be on the lookout for a small package.  I am not including the cd cases.  I hope you have a few cases just lying around.

Time to visit you all.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  5. It's cold though still melting off here which makes me happy enough. I think by next week we may actually be snow free. We have our church Thanksgiving meal coming up this weekend. I can't believe how time flies.

You know I still have not been to Kohl's they have one but it's on the opposite side of town and I never go that way. I hear they have a great Black Friday sale.

  7. I got the CUTEST Christmas ornaments last year at Kohl's after Christmas sale...and they were practically FREE...I think I paid less than a dollar for each of them. Now I'm excited about getting them out...just a week and a half away from putting up the tree! YIPPEE!!!

I wish I had learned how to knit or crochet. I do know how to cross-stitch. I used to enjoy doing that, but now I spend all my extra time on the computer. I did manage to vaccuum this morning and clean off my ceiling fans. Then back to the computer. It's like a magnet. :)

  12. I tried knitting about 6 months ago. You are right, it did come back. But I'm too shaky these days to be able to make anything constructive and have it turn out nice. I might try an afgan for at home. It is isn't perfect, who cares!

  13. I never learned the art of knitting with 2 needles. I do crochet, but don't use a pattern, just doing my own thing.

  14. I enjoy shopping at Kohl's, too. I recently bought some Gloria Vanderbilt jeans on sale there. Did not even have to hem them!
Your chair looks comfy and warm. A good place to watch tv and knit in the winter!

  16. I liked the Kohls in Peoria when my son lived there. But when it came to Redmond a while back, the clerks stood around talking to each other and wouldn't wait on us. The next time they were very rude so we haven't and won't go back. No other store acted like that. I wish we had one like Peoria's.

Your chair looks comfy. Jim and I each have our special places too. Have a happy Thanksgiving and Christmas. BGB

  18. Hi Beth,

I am fiercely protective of my recliner too, whenever somebody else sits in it and mucks around with the controls, it never feels the same afterwards :)

Take care have a nice weekend, think of me/us on Saturday.

I didn't think I was doing too bad, but my grandsons asked for prayer for me tonight at their group, saying Nan is a bit stressed about the move Sat. Bless them.

    Hugs Nita.

  26. I'm jealous of the recliner. Miss mine so much. ;)

I used to knit sometimes before I hurt the one arm/wrist. I never could knit to scale properly, though. I don't think you forget it once you have learned to knit. :)
