Poor Pitiful Tree

The pictures below are of the tree between the cemetery and my back door.  I have taken one picture on the same day each month.  My goal was 1 year.  This is the last month.

I honestly thought when I first started  taking these pictures in January that at some time the tree might be cut down as it is on cemetery property.  It is still standing 12 months later.  Note the grass is still green here.  We had snow on only one month that I took the pictures.  That was March  and it was only a light dusting.  No snow so far this season.  We are in drought status here, almost 10 inches below normal so I guess we need some snow this winter.  I really enjoyed driving in a snowless winter though.

  4. I think that is such a fun thing to do to take pictures of the same thing over a year. My son takes pictures of his little boy every Sunday (since he was born last June). It will be fun to watch him grow-xo Diana

  8. You have been watching that tree for a long time. It looks half dead, maybe they will cut it down.

  9. Congratulations on fulfilling your goal! I love the differences in the pictures. We are in drought status, too. They have begun stage one in water conservation again. We NEED some slow steady drenching rains!!!

  11. This is such a cool project! I love seeing the tree in different seasons! I'm right below you in Arkansas and we're also in a drought conditions. We're getting rain today that's bringing cooler weather, temps have been in the upper 70's! I wouldn't mind some snow this winter, just no ICE!!

  16. Oh, I think the tree looks a bit sad without its leaves.:( It's interesting to track it all through the year, though.

I hope you have had a good Tuesday, Beth. xo Nellie
