I love that old Kristofferson song (Sunday Morning Coming Down) sung by Johnny Cash. He was one of my favorite singers. Jim and I saw him many times in concert beginning with when the Statler Brothers were traveling with him. So sad now, the Statler Brothers are retired and June and Johnny Cash are both gone. I am feeling a bit nostalgic today.
I need to go to the store this morning for essentials like milk bananas and eggs.
Very warm this morning at 57 degrees. To reach 70 today. Not at all December weather.
I hope you all have a great week. I am going to try to, the Good Lord willing!
Beth
Beth, I hope you have a great week. It's very springlike here today. My parents loved Johnnie and June too. Whenever I hear country music,I almost cry, with the longing for my parents. Enjoy this wonderful day Beth. Smiles, xo, Susie
ReplyDeleteBeth have a good week . Sounds like the weather is acting strange again.
ReplyDeleteI loved Johnny Cash such a drooling voice especially (Sue) great one that one.
Enjoy your shop trip.

OH HUGS Beth. B
ReplyDeleteWeather seems to be weird all over the place. I want snow!!! Or at least weather below 50!!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteWhereas we do have December like weather, rain at the moment, but could turn to snow.
Hope you do have a good week.
Hugs Nita
Pretty warm here too. Just looked at the thermometer and its 64!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's way too warm here too these past 4 days but this time, I enjoy it. xox
ReplyDeleteWe are still enjoying 70 degree weather here. It is nice to be able to walk outdoors without a coat. I need to make a quick run to the grocery store, too.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Oh wow that is a warm December day!
ReplyDeleteI'll keep you in my prayers that this week is good!
we're hitting low 80s again today for 3rd day in a row. weird.
ReplyDeleteThat was one of my favorite songs also Beth.
ReplyDeleteI have days like that sometimes & I always end up sad..
I miss Johnny & June too.
All the good ones have all gone home...
Music is not like it once was...
Hugs & kisses my friend :-)
It is a warm one here today, too, Beth. Not at all like usual December temperatures. I actually need no jacket outside! That's as long as the sun is shining. Once it sets, the coolness comes in.
ReplyDeleteSending wishes along for a good Monday!
xo Nellie
It is damp, very foggy and mid-40's in my neck of Wisconsin.
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to curl up with a good book-maybe later.
Have a good Monday.
It's not quite that warm here but it's warmer than usual in the 50's and sunny.
ReplyDeleteIneed bananas too, but that can wait till tomorrow. I'm being very lazy today.
we are all in shorts..no December weather here either. blah!
ReplyDeleteI hope you do have a good week, Beth. BGB
ReplyDeleteI loved Johnny Cash as well still do he had such talent......
ReplyDeleteI loved that song, too. My youngest son plays guitar (and piano) and can sound just like Johnnie Cash when he wants to do so. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteBrings back memories for sure. I didn't learn to appreciate Johnny cash until I was older. Your weather sounds lovely--I live in South Florida and today it was a bit warm. I miss seeing snow!!
ReplyDeleteEvery single day that is warm is one less COLD one we will have this winter.. I shall remember them in Feb when it is frigid. Hope your week and your appts go well. Sending good luck prayers along to you.. Take care :-) XOXO
ReplyDeleteHi Beth. No snow here and the grass is still green. Okay! November is over, and I am having my snow tires put on my van on Wed. so I think it is time for a little snow. Gotta say, I am dreaming of a White Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week ahead Beth.
Hugs, Dianne :)
I hope your day went well, your weather sounds quite pleasant, even if unseasonal.
ReplyDeleteGreat pieces of work come out of nostalgia. I also love that song by Johnny Cash. He is one of our favourutes, too. Bill plays guitar and does several of his songs. He is so talented! In the truck Bill listens to Willie's Roadhouse station. They play all of the early country: Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, Johnny & June, Hank Snow, etc. It was fun. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteNot a great fan of Johnny Cash Beth, preferred glen Campbell.
ReplyDeleteCan you share some of that warm weather with us here in UK please. Nice to see you back.
I really am enjoying this warm weather, but alas, it's not going to be around too long. Country music is my favorite. Something I grew up listening to my dad sing it along with the radio. Though I must say Johnny Cash wasn't one of my favorites. I like Carl Smith and Faron Young. Hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI miss some of my favorite actors who are gone now, too. Jimmy Stewart, Katherine Hepburn, Henry Fonda...makes me feel old when so many are gone and the "newcomers" are now old--LOL!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a decent day and found some smiles along the way. :)
74 here today. And I loved Johnny Cash.
