Peaceful Sunday…

It is a bright sunshiny day starting at 12 degrees right now so the snow is still there.  I got my car all cleaned off all ready for the next round of freezing rain and snow which is to start Monday night.  First freezing rain and then snow through Thursday.  It seems like we are having all of our winter in February.

Yesterday was a boring day,  I fixed fettuccine with Alfredo sauce from a jar.  It wasn’t bad but not satisfying.  Seems like nothing I am cooking is satisfying anymore except for the big turkey meal we had last Sunday.  Leftover fettuccine for me today I guess.  Still have some banana bread though.

I have to go out in the cold after a bit to go to the pharmacy to pick up a couple of prescriptions.  I noticed the car has a very nice layer of frost on it this morning so I will have to warm up the car and do some scraping.  I think it is only 23 days until spring so I am hanging in there.

I hope it is warm and sunny where you are because I am coming to visit you.  Note to relatives in Wisconsin: your weather is worse than mine so I am not coming to visit you.  lol  Note to relatives in Florida:  How come  I never get an invitation to visit you??  Note to sis and BIL in West Virginia:  You just told me on the phone that it was 37.4 degrees there.  That is a lot warmer than 12 degrees so get the cake baking.

Have a truly blessed day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. It's 24 degrees here so may I expect a visit from you? This is a dreary season at the moment I must admit...I'm ready for the temps to get higher and for some clear days. Have a blessed day as well Beth.

  2. We are getting 2 and one half minutes MORE of sunlight every day now.. I know it is lighter in the evenings than it used to be. So happy for that. I could be gone for the rest of the winter and be happy though. I think more snow is coming soon. Shoveled yesterday until I got tired and quit. This stuff is heavy or I am weak one.LOL Hope your day goes well..not sure I am getting out today or not. Take care XOXO

  5. You should come and visit me here in CA---in the 60's with lots of sunshine. The flowers are starting to bloom and the Silver Maple in the front yard is abuzz with bees and buds. Looks a lot like spring here. Your banana bread sounds like the best for your kind of weather there. Enjoy the day---spring will be there before you know it---and you'll appreciate it so much more!

  17. No snow here, but grey dull and still very chilly, barely 3 degrees. Had the family lads up on Sunday fitting new locks and fence panels plus some pruning.
I hope you get that invite Beth, it'll do you good.
