Fantastic Friday,,,

It is 27 degrees, the sun is shining and the snow is melting away.  Life is good!

My chicken has been cooked and the broth  is in the fridge.  I like to let the broth cool over night so  that I can skim the fat off.  Moving nicely towards the chicken and noodles.

I am sitting here smiling because I was thinking of that old saying ‘my goose is cooked.’

goose is cooked

[edit]English

[edit]Phrase
  1. (idiomatic) All hope is gone; there is no possibility of success.
If he doesn't win the next round, then his goose is cooked.

LOL!!

What a boring post this is.  I guess I should start cleaning since the sun is shining and the Arias trial won’t resume until next Monday.  I can procrastinate no longer.

Have a lovely weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  6. Boring?!? That saying alone made my day! I say things that make my kids look at me funny sometimes and I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in these things. It's 33 here right now but above that for me is a clear sky for a change...I love that! Be blessed my friend..enjoy your soup!

  10. I have to stop procrastinating, too. Elvis Aaron Schwarz will be here tomorrow -- not that it bothers him if my house is less than perfect. I'm the only one who's bothered.

    Love,

  11. Chicken and noodles sound yummy!

Noticing your countdown to spring, have to share: we are traveling south and have seen definite signs of spring in Arkansas and into Texas. So I know it will reach up there soon. Probably in about 11 days as per your countdown. :-)

  12. Your posts is never boring Beth. We all have days like that - sometimes we think there isn't anything interesting happening in our life, but if you stop to think about it, your day is probably totally different than mine (once we get on with our day that is). Your Chicken and noodles is sounding very good.

  13. Hi Beth, even though your temp was a lot lower than ours, at least we both had sunshine today! Do you have a lot of cardinals near you? They've been chirping so much lately. I just love listening to them. And I don't mean the Baseball Cardinals! :) Although I love them, too! LOL

  15. We're 3 degrees here Beth, cold 'n wet, so I've called round to warm my hands... Brrr!!... and to partake of a bowl of chicken 'n noodle soup, if there's any left that is. Instead of boring, insert 'sharing' and 'caring' ...'tis a much better description methinks. Warmest of hugs, (sorry about t'cold nose) xPenx
