Finally…

it has stopped snowing and the sun is shining brightly.  The temperature is 25 degrees to get up to the lower 30s today.

I went out yesterday afternoon and cleaned the snow off my car.  I need to go out after a bit and get it cleaned off today as I have some prescriptions to pick up at the pharmacy.

In my post yesterday most of you had never heard of the movie Bad Day at Black Rock.  I remember the movie vividly.  It was out in 1955 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Day_at_Black_Rock and was the last movie I saw before I met Jim that summer.  When things go wrong for me I always say I have had a bad day at black rock.  That is a famous line from a scene in this movie.  I imagine you can get this on NetFlix.

Bad Day at Black Rock

Since the snow has stopped I need to get out the vacuum and do a tiny bit of cleaning, not  a lot, just a tiny bit.

I hope you all are having a great week.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  6. Our little bit of snow today was just enough to look pretty without causing any problems. It is quickly disappearing at this point.

I hope your trip to the pharmacy was a safe one!

  7. Feel free to fly south for what's left of the winter. My house needs cleaning. But I'm afraid it's not just a little bit.

    Love,

  9. I don't think I ever watched that movie. Isn't it funny how we remember dates/things by what we watched? xo Diana

  17. I was 0 in 1955....born in July that year....and I don't ever remember seeing this one on Saturday Night At The Movies on NBC....I don't ever remember seeing Ernest Borgnine playing a bad guy! I watched the clip and then had to see if he is still alive...died in July last year. Tear. I always liked him.

Still no snow or rain here....waiting on one of you bloggers who is snowed in to send it our direction. Please.
