Rainy Friday…

After a sunny morning it is raining again.  My daughter and I went to a few garage sales this morning.  This was fun for me because I love garage sales.

Yesterday was stressful .  I met one of my oncologists.  It was a 2 hour event which was depressing knowing that my time there has just started.  I will have a PET scan next Wednesday.  http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/154877.php  This will determine if the cancer has spread.  Then one week from the coming Monday I will see a Radiation Oncologist.  This is the day that I will learn what my treatment will be.  Most likely I will be having radiation.

Last Friday on our trip back home I noted that the wind farms are more numerous in the area.  http://www.illinoiswindmills.org/index_files/windfarms2.htm

This is the best picture I could get through my dirty car window going 55 miles per hour.  I think the turbines are beautiful  I would love to get a closer look at them.

I hope you all have a peaceful weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  5. Beth- I am praying you through this. Take it one day and one step at a time. You can do this. I do believe in the healing power of God-but I also know we have to take steps to effect that healing sometimes. Blessings- please keep writing about it- it is good for the soul!

We have lots of wind farms here-the locals that live near them complain constantly about the noise- I think they are rather peaceful but then I don't live next to them- xo Diana

  6. So sorry to read this Beth, and no wonder you felt stressful, ... My hopes and prayers will be with you in the hope that the PET scan will impart good news and no sign of spreading. It's so hard to find something to say my friend, which doesn't sound banal or just the usual, and now the tears are starting ... Hugs are all I can offer over the air waves. hugs aplenty for you...softest of hugs...

  10. I like garage sales, but I haven't been to one in years. You know I'm pulling for you. I will be in touch while I'm away. Two more days! I'm not so sure about the weather though. It was 94 here today.
We've got a couple in our area though I'm not sure who they provide service for.
    Stay positive Beth.

  14. Some places, here in the mountains, the wind turbines are very close to the road and can be seen up close - they have their own beauty but can ruin a good photo shot of a nice outdoor scene...
Sorry to read of your health problems, Beth...wishing all that's good for you and pray that you'll be well...

  21. My dad had radiation treatments and said he thought it was easier on him than the friends who had chemo. Not sure if that's true or not. Some chemo cocktail is easier on people than others and some people tolerate them better than others. I am just hoping and praying that whatever treatment they give you will be the easiest for you. love and hugs!
