It is bright sunshine here in Central Illinois this morning checking in at 56 degrees. We do have rain predicted for tomorrow but no rain in sight today. I actually had to water my one remaining tomato plant yesterday, I also had to water the petunias I planted around the light pole. The squirrels had dug up two of them. I think squirrels are entertaining to watch but they are ornery creatures too. I miss my flower beds from home at this time of year.
Some of my flowers from home. I brought 2 of the hen and chickens with me and they are doing well.
I have a new great great niece (called Lizzie) She is a tiny little thing at 4 pounds. Her mommy has gone through a very rough patch but she is doing better now.
We all love you Lizzie and mommy!
Have a peaceful weekend. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
What a little sweetie. Glad all are doing well. You plants looks so nice.
ReplyDeleteI know the sunshine is welcome this morning.
ReplyDeleteLizzie is so very sweet.
I miss my flowers, too. It's already too hot to try to plant this year.
Have a nice day.

ReplyDeleteoops miss spelled friend I think!!!! You know what I mean, lol, goodness, to fast on the publish button this morning!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww so dear that little one. My niece was almost 6 lbs so I know how tiny that is.Takes a long time for them to grow..she will have many years. Thinking of you today Sis and hoping you are on the mend and know that I am daily praying for you. Cherish you and your friendship.. Have a nice weekend. XOXO
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful new addition to your family. My hubby weighed in at about 4 lbs. when he was born early. Doctor said he wouldn't live but here he is today. I love the pictures of your flower beds. I remember living in Illinois and the squirrels and rabbits would eat our plants and flowers in the yard. The worst thing we had was a mole. We could not get rid of it. Tried a lot of things but it would tear up our lawn every year! Too hot here for most of those critters. Have a wonderful weekend. You remain in my thoughts and prayers. God be with you.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth
ReplyDeleteFlowers can do a lot to lift our spirits, hope u have a good weekend. Hugs Nita

ReplyDeleteBabies make such nice additions to a home . Bundle of Joy!
ReplyDeletehave a good weekend. Glad you have some sun.
aww, Lizzie looks completely oblivious to the fact she's now found a place in everyone's hearts, Beth, ... and I couldn't agree more about the squirrels, we had such a problem when growing our lawn from seed, squirrels dug holes everywhere, but Bess soon sorted us out and we had slabs put down, ... for she must have been in cahoots with the squirrel and finished off the grass with her 'wee' ... Sigh!! Did we laugh?... erm, ... a while later methinks !!! hugs aplenty to you... xPenx
ReplyDeleteEven without a big garden you do have a wonderful patio with flowers to surround you. My delphinia won't be flowering for another month. Wonderful sweet new additions to your family, Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs Carrie
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Beth!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely. Enjoy this pretty day :)
I'm quite taken by Lizzie! I hope all will go well with her mommy now.
ReplyDeleteSquirrels do know how to wear out their welcome, don't they? The flowers are pretty in spite of them!
We had fog earlier today, and there is a little sun now. Another summery day is on the way.
Enjoy your Saturday.
xo Nellie

How precious Little Lizzie is! Best wishes to her and Mommy.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the arrival of Lizzie. God bless her and her mommy!
ReplyDeleteAwww Beth little Lizzie is so very adorable. Hope her mommy gets over her rough spot. Enjoyed your pictures too - very lovely around your patio. We were supposed to get rain all day today and tomorrow - so far it has skirted to the west of us. We could use another good shower as things are drying up again around here.
ReplyDeleteLizzie is a little angel! 4 pounds! I thought I was tiny when I was born (5 lbs 8 ounces). She is precious. God bless you all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious little one! I'll keep mommy and baby in my prayers! It's hard to believe that I'm not that far south of you and we're going to hit upper 90's, maybe even triple digits this week! Have a great week!
ReplyDelete4 pounds tiny...........I was only 4 pounds when I was born and now look at me...........lol
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the world Lizzie!! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your tiny little niece...so beautiful! I agree with you about squirrels. They love to taunt my dogs. It is hilarious watching them....both the dogs and the squirrels. The squirrels seem to be smarter than the dogs. Sad. :) I love petunias. I'd have to get out the bb gun if they dug up petunia I had planted.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww...she's such a tiny little doll. Glad that she has arrived and that her mother is doing better. Health and happiness to them both.
ReplyDeleteAhhh what a precious little one, prayers with her and mom too!
ReplyDeleteHealth and good thoughts coming to you all! much love!!
