The Pet Scan went well. What should have been a two hour event turned into a 4 hour event because of an emergency.
I finally was taken into a room where the technician took my blood sugar. It was 87. You can’t have the test unless your blood sugar reading is between 60 and 250. Next came a shot of radioactive sugar through an IV. Then I was told to rest flat on my back in a recliner for 1 hour. I was nervous before I went in the room but as I lay there thinking of my family and my friends and the prayers I suddenly became calm. I could feel the presence of God on my right side and Jim on my left side. Whatever the results are of the test I know that I will be strong enough to handle it. Thank you all so much for the prayers and kind thoughts. They are such a comfort to me.
I am doing laundry this morning. It is cloudy at 59 degrees and there is rain all around us in the western part of the state. We have a 40% chance. After I finish the laundry I need to make a store run. I am out of bananas and a few other things.
I hope you all have a blessed day. Stay safe and be happy!
Beth
I am so happy to read these words this morning, Beth. You were in my thoughts and prayers yesterday!
ReplyDeleteLaundry was my routine yesterday! Today I will make that "store run.":-)
It is nice and cool here this morning after we had some storms come through yesterday afternoon. More rain is expected today and tomorrow, but we have no rain at the present time.
Sending wishes for a terrific Thursday!

Soon as my hair dries and curls a bit I too will make a store run. Between you, Nellie and I we will boost the Nation's economy. xoxox
ReplyDeleteI too am so happy to hear from you Beth. You were also in my thoughts and prayers all day yesterday. I've never had a PET scan, so someday you'll have to describe it. I suspect some machine rolls over the top of you something like the DaTscan I had.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you have that test out of the way. They are always so scary and you are never sure if it will be painful or not (at least that's my worry as I don't tolerate pain very well.
Your weather seems to mirror ours so many days. It's been raining and cool here too., To the point where I gave up and turned the heat back on for a couple of days. Now we'll be warming up again and probably within a few days the air will go on. he he - Can't win.
I am thankful that you felt the prayers of those who love you and I am glad the test is behind you. Continuing to lift you in prayer.
ReplyDeleteOur market had south Georgia peaches this week - wish you were close enough for me to share!
