It will take a miracle and some luck and Wacha to get us back on track. Because I think so highly of my Boston friend I again will congratulate the Red Sox. But only because I luv ya Paul!
I have been out a couple of times looking for fall foliage that looked good. Unfortunately the drought we had all summer has taken its toll and there is not much to be found. I took the following picture this morning in the Wal*Mart parking lot. I think that is the best I can do this year. While in Wal*Mart I purchased an electric blanket for my son in law’s birthday.
I also stopped by Goodwill this morning dropped off some CDs and clothing.
AND much to my surprise gas was below $3 a gallon this morning at Thorntons. The last time I can remember that gas was $3 a gallon was back in 2006. I found that in one of my old blogs.
And so being the thrifty person that I am I now have a full tank of gas.
Since I am posting this late in the day I don’t imagine it will show up on the dashboard until sometime in the middle of the night.
I hope this day is being good to you. It is very dreary today and the temp right now is 48 degrees.
Whatever you do stay safe and be happy. It is a lot easier on you to be happy than to be always sad.
Beth
Aman, Twin! That's even less than I paid in SC last weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe colors don't seem to be vivid as usual here either. Gas was $3.19 here yesterday. Between you and Paul, it makes rooting for my friends a challenge, lol. Good Luck to both your teams and may the best one win.
ReplyDeleteI have one happy grandson and one sad one...who knows how it will end...
ReplyDeleteThat is one gorgeous tree with all that scarlet foliage.
you showed up just fine today. :) i love that red tree - and love cheap gas, too!
ReplyDeleteThat tree is so pretty Beth. Gas never gets as low in this town as the news people show in other town. It's 3.39 here. But hey that's low compared to before. Sorry about your Cardinals. It's crazy huh? Just don't give up hope. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYes ma'am - being happy is more fun too. Gas under $3 - I wish it was here. And I love those red leaves. sandie
ReplyDeleteThat tree is so lovely, Beth!
ReplyDeleteoh Beth what a beautiful bush, that is a beautiful shade of red, great buy on the gas!
ReplyDeleteGas is less than it was around here but the cheapest I 've seen so far is$3.29. The again you're closer to the source. By the way I am just seeing this at about 10:15 p.m. It wasn't here an hour ago. I feel bad that the Cards are losing so far, but I know it isn't over yet. The Red Sox were trailing the Yankees 3 to 1 in the playoffs in 2004 and came back to win and go to the World Series. I won't mention who they beat.
ReplyDeleteColors are muted around here and there are still some green trees. I'll give it one more shot next Sunday if the weather is good.
Beth I love you back. See you at Fenway !
I filled up my car's gas tank today too. At Cosco I only had to pay $3.09.9 a gallon. The other cheapest place had $3.13.9. Al the regular stations listed $3.47.9 or $3.39.9. This is in the greater Seattle area. We had our first freeze last night but it got up to 58 by late afternoon.. Your picture is very pretty. Most of our leaves have already fallen here. Yes, no matter what, It seems to work better to look at the bright side of life, and be grateful for our blessings. Happy Wednesday tomorrow. Bertie
ReplyDeleteThe Cards and the Sox are pretty good. I'll look tomorrow at our gas prices. I love my elec blanket just to take the chill off the sheets before I go to bed. Be well.
ReplyDeleteLovely red tree...
ReplyDeleteYou have to look to find the colors around here, and they are fading fast. I feel blessed to be basically a happy person...it must be lots easier this way! lol
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling well, my dear. Love and blessings to you...
It IS the middle of the night here and I just can't sleep! But I truly enjoyed seeing a picture of that gorgeous tree! Ours haven't changed yet but it usually happens overnight!
ReplyDeleteHurray on those gas prices!
XO,
Jane
Oh your tree is beautiful. Wow your gas is cheap I paid $1.24 a liter which compare by 4 liters equals your gallon. 4 x $1.24 yup that is what ours is. Cost me $72 to fill up that hurt:) Hug B
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful tree - even though they are few and far between this year. I've noticed that here in Kentucky as well; there's not nearly as many colors this year!
ReplyDeleteMagnificent colour of the tree, something we don't see down here.
ReplyDeleteOur petrol is $157.9 per litre AUD :)
Beautiful color on that tree! Our car "requires" at least mid-grade fuel, and that is over $3 a gallon, even with my 15 cents off credit at the super market where I shop. That is a good deal you found yesterday!
ReplyDeleteBaseball is back tonight. We will be watching.
Have a good Wednesday!
xo Nellie
Love the red bush! Our colors here are mostly just yellow, with a sprinkle of red---nothing like the assortment of oranges and reds like you guys back east get! But I love the season anyway---the smell of it, the crispness in the air and all that goes with autumn. Oh boy, those are great gas prices! I was thrilled to get my tank topped off with $3.51 the other day! Hope it does drop off even more! Enjoy the season and have a happy and safe Halloween!
ReplyDeleteYou found some lovely color in the Walmart parking lot! Gas prices haven't quite gotten that low yet but they are getting close.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day!
just plain ole' regular days = good days beth!! that's a gorgeous tree!!
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing/feeling? Sorry I've been away. I don't know where to begin to catch up... Lovely pic of the tree! Keep inspiring, because I know you do!
ReplyDeleteThe tree is so beautiful! Glad you got out and about.
ReplyDeleteUnder $3 that is awesome, almost makes you want to fill up a to go cartridge to fill up later :)
You reminded me that I need to fill 'er up!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Oh my niece is a huge fan of Boston! Which is a lot for her since her father and brother are huge NY fans. So their's is a house divided right now with the series going on!
ReplyDeleteYour tree you picked is very pretty Beth. Went to library and it was a real dreary day.
ReplyDeleteWell the libraires sure have changed from a year ago in my town or next town.. They dont even have sections of Christian books. Only places if you buy it at a christian store or at a Church who lends out
books. Not many do.
I did end up with an old book my Mom used to read and my husband when he was a teen. AGatha Christie. Three other books. I sat and went through them to
see if the kanguage was good as all books now adays say the P word.
What is this world coming too.
The red of that tree is simply eye popping! Wow! The price of gas there makes my eyes pop too...ugh! Today we had freezing fog...boy did it make for pretty frost designs...hey, you can't say I don't look at the bright side!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it good when we find petrol at a nice cheap price, I do like the photo of the pretty red tree
ReplyDeleteLove the tree photo!
ReplyDeleteLove the tree photo!
