The agony of defeat…

Last night’s game between the Cards and the Red Sox was very painful to watch!  Between Cardinal errors and an unsympathetic umpire my team got walloped 8 – 1.  The Cardinals are known for rising from the ashes so watch out Boston, St. Louis is out to getcha.  I do congratulate the Red Sox for their victory last night, I just hope they don’t have anymore.

I have been to a doctor appointment in Peoria this morning.  It was doing some serious snow flurrying there.  By the time I got home the sun was trying to come out.

And now I am not in the mood to do anything at all so I guess I won’t.  I have finished sorting CDs for the time being.  I have a pretty good size package to send to my niece in West Virginia.  I am not mailing containers which is a good thing as the package is very heavy without them.

Some of the leaves are starting to look pretty decent here now so I will have to get out with my camera tomorrow.

After the Big Bang theory tonight I will switch over to the ball game and hope that things are better.  I hope you all have a good weekend.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  3. I like going to baseball games but I'm not much for watching games on TV. And I LOVE The Big Bang Theory...I miss it a lot though. Sounds like you are keeping busy. I hope you are doing well!

  4. What can I say Beth? I fell asleep while the Sox were ahead and didn't mind when I found out they scored 8 in the end. Big Papi almost had another grand slam save for a fantastic catch. Errors happen but there was no excuse for the ball that just dropped between the two players. My mouth just dropped. I won't count them out but you understand who I'm rooting for.
It's going to be cold and windy tonight. Our magical weather has ended.

I look forward to your fall pictures. What a great time of year.

  6. We will be tuning in later tonight, too. With being in the Eastern zone though, we find it a bit of a stretch to stay up the entire time for the game.

    Have your snacks ready!:-)

  10. My hubby is a huge BoSox Fan and our little one, played on a Red Sox tee ball team..so they are both in the hole for Boston.
As for me I am a die hard Atlanta Brave...They always do good until the playoffs..dratz!
That poor call in the 1st inning I think took the air out of the Cards.. I hope they can regroup, because nothing is worse then a sweep..I would like it more competitive to get down to game 7

  12. I hope the game turns out as you hope it will. We have begun watching college football in my house because Willy Dunne Wooters follows a certain team. I try to understand his passion for football, but I just don't get it. It's okay. He doesn't understand my love of poetry.

    Love,

  13. Hi Beth.

So you got your cds mailed. Did you know you can get the lightweight plastic containers. You can buy them in dollar store if you have one or wa-mart. My friends send me cds and they come in green, pink. They are rather cheap also to buy.
My friend sent me six for me to use for my images to my hubbys family with images I mail. If I have your email. I think only now like less then 2 dollars to mail as they are light.
I can first see if I have one to take a picture of what they look like for you and then you can see if you can buy them. Not in my area or my daughters. My friend has them in N.B and my other firend has them in London England. Sorry I am behind commenting you. I just did my oldest G. Child a art mini album and a carrier I made . So now trying to catch up . Thank you for your comments always. Your so faithful.

  16. Loved your comment that you hoped they won't have another one. I don't care for baseball and I don't know why. I played it alot as a kid but watching it is different I guess. I got rid of all my cd's and have music on the radio and internet. Go figure. Can't wait to see your Fall over there. Take care.
