that I took a photo of the first of each month last year (2012)? During the thunderstorm we had a couple of nights ago one of the big branches came down. I do think now that the cemetery will have to do something about the tree in the spring. Any bad storms this winter will surely cause more branches to come down.
My daughter took me to the hospital Christmas Craft Show this morning. There was a lot of great things there. I have no room here for more Christmas decorations. I did buy some beautiful note cards and a lovely Christmas bowl with at least a half pound of fudge in it for $5 which was a terrific buy. The fudge is really good too. I love the verse on the notecards. I hope you will be able to read it The cards were reasonably priced at $8.50.
Yesterday was a do nothing day as my eyes were dilated from the exam at the ophthalmologist. My eyes were blurry all day and so no reading or watching TV or being on the computer much. I am looking at surgery next year. After the last few months that news is minor so I am not going to even think about that.
I hope you all have a lovely peaceful weekend. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
i like those note cards. have fun with the fudge! i'd have to freeze it and eat it a bite at a time. :)
ReplyDeleteBeth, If it isn't one thing it's another...I know you must feel that way at times. I have since Spring this year. We have to look at our blessings...and find them in the smallest things too. Bless your heart. I love the cards you chose. I am always writing so I use up cards and stamps fast. I do remember your tree photos. I always enjoyed them. Blessings to you Beth. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYes, I do remember the tree!
ReplyDeleteI like the note cards and love the verse on it.
Yummy - fudge - haven't had any fudge in a very long time.
Your header picture is so pretty!!
I hope that you are not worried too much. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI remember the tree.
Oh, yum! What good looking fudge! The notecards are really pretty. I like the hummingbird. Hopefully the tree won't send any branches in a direction to cause damage. xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteThat is a big old branch to lose. I have to avoid my woodland walks at this time of year for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteYour notecards are pretty, and the fudge sounds good.
I remember that tree also. It was fun to see the changes of seasons with that tree. Oh dear, I would hate to see it have to be taken down completely. Are you talking about cataract (sp)? I just had that done, and it really is an easy surgery to go through. It really is - I wouldn't worry about that one. You have been through so much worse this past year. Hugs
ReplyDeleteFalling branches in public places are not a good mix - maybe we should stay away from the tree!!

I like the note cards, the fudge and pretty dish. I always look forward to the craft shows around the holidays, I just love things that are homemade.
ReplyDeleteI have some sort of eye infection so I wasn't able to do much today either. We have to appreciate what we have while we have it!
XO,
Jane
It has been nice watching that tree through your posts. Will be kind of sad if they have to take it down. Love those note cards. If it's cataracts Mariocatsmom is right, it is really not a bad one to go through.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a lovely verse Beth those cards are lovely. Good to grab a bargain now and again. I remember the tree it's a shame when that happens, a few broken off here in the gales. But nothing too bad glad to say. The cataract op isn't too bad I hear. Enjoy the coming week and hugs from across the Pond.

Oh what a shame of that tree but it is a danger with people around.
ReplyDeleteOh the note cards are lovley and fudge is nice but I find fudge so overly sweet.
My face puckers as I take a bite so sweet. Last time I had fudge was a year ago.
Enjoy Beth if you can take the sweetness.
That poor tree certainly took a beating. We've had some close calls but have avoided tree damage around here. One step at a time...let surgery of later days not trouble you now for sure. Blessings to you my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your encouragement on my blog.. That was so thoughtful My mom will be in a craft show this weekend we are excited! It's that time of year. Enjoy your goodies!
ReplyDeleteSis..glad you were able to get out and about and enjoy time away and get some goodies too. You are so right, that amount of fudge is a good deal. Sorry to hear another surgery is needed but always know I will be sending hugs and prayers your way.XOXO
ReplyDeleteYes the note cards are so lovely, I would love the bowl with the fudge,
ReplyDeleteThat tree looks a bit dangerous..
ReplyDeleteI like your cards.
I love the words are the cards...of course I love the word "sheltering." I think the fudge was a good buy, too. Praying God will touch your eyes.
ReplyDeleteThat is one big branch!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards and the fudge looks yummy.
Hope you don't even think about the eye surgery until it is time. :)
Love the words on the card too!
ReplyDeleteMan I could eat all that fudge lol
