I have it…

my package that is.  It only took 9 days to deliver a priority mail package 500 miles??  Priority mail is called 3 – day Priority Mail.

Things are looking brighter on the countdown till Spring as it is only 49 days to go.  It is cloudy and 25 degrees this morning and  the wind is gusting at 28 miles an hour.  The forecast is for snow for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I am going out this morning to the post office (to mail a couple of packages with fingers crossed) to the bank, Kroger store and to pay my rent.  I have taken a picture of my kitchen window and I am taking that with me to have put in my folder at the rental office.  It is very cold, dark and depressing in my kitchen and I am intending to tell them that.  Not that it will make one bit of difference.  LOL

This is a short post as I have to go out and get my car warmed up so I can get moving.  I went to Food Depot yesterday morning and it  was filled with wall to wall people out shopping to beat the forecast.

Have a peaceful day.  If you have snow and like it then I am happy for you.  If you are like me and getting very tired of snow and winter then get to the grocery store and stock up the first chance you get.

Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  1. I totally agree about the shoppers etc..the stores are loaded upon news of more snow on top of what we have. I can barely see the mailbox and they will not deliver until we can DIG IT OUT, Hate this winter weather.Stay away from the germs..Hope your day is warm and sunny. Prayers for you always, XoXo

  2. CRAZY about your priority mail. I am glad you finally got it though! I am like you with the winter. I am tired of it and can't wait until Spring arrives...it can't be soon enough for me- xo Diana

  3. Hope it warms up soon. I have a consignment business and the post office is so inconsistent. Sometimes Priority mail gets scanned and delivered so quickly and other times, they don't scan til delivery and the packages take forever. It is horrible

  5. Now that is a long time. Years ago when my daughter lived in Virginia and things didn't work out there I sent her a ticket priority mail and it got there is less than 24 hours. Thsngs have really gone to h. Hope they hurry and get your window fixed. Winter is depressing enough without some sunlight.

  11. That's no fun at all Beth! Maybe some bright spring colors will liven up the kitchen....or something green! You know how something cooking always make a kitchen feel cozy! It is probably easy to get depressed during winter! Stay warm and safe!

  19. Well you don't have to tell me about panic buying for a snowstorm. I honestly understand stocking up for a big storm but panic buying for a couple of inches is just silly. If you only saw the amount of stuff people buy for a relatively small storm. People act as if 2 to 4 inches of snow is the end of the world. If you live in this kind of climate you should not be surprised, as many people seem to be, when it's announced that it will snow. Of course there was 1978 when we were caught off guard with 4 feet of snow. Nobody around here will forget that.

  21. Hi Beth, I am glad your package finally arrived. I always wonder when I mail a package just how long it will take. I am glad you are preparing for the snow, that is what I did which made me very happy to have it all done, but I didn't get done what I was working on here at home. They told me at the nursing home it is the squeaky wheel that gets reaction so maybe you will get your window. When you are out and about be safe and warm. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  25. Keep warm, and I just can't imagine not being able to go outside whenever I wanted to in winter.
    Pleased your parcel arrived.
It is interesting about parcels as my dads left the warehouse in PA on January 30, and is still in PA, be interesting to see how long it takes to get to my house - the other side of the world, down under :)

  26. I am glad you got the package finally! The USPS has gotten so unreliable. I still don't see how the forever stamp is supposed to help them.
