and no thanks to you and January for the new snow fall we got yesterday and last night, Several inches fell and it is still snowing with more to come. My car is covered again so you know what I have to do when it quits snowing. I will have to go out and clean my car off again. It is 47 days till Spring and the groundhog will tell us tomorrow if we will have 6 more weeks of winter.
My car this morning and the guy hasn’t been here yet to snow blow the sidewalk snow up against my car.
But on the brighter side a very nice guy from Pekin glass came yesterday afternoon in the midst of all of the snow and replaced my window. He was very polite and meticulous. He was very careful not to make a mess and he took off his shoes when he came in the house. His name is Brad and I asked his permission to take his picture and to put it in my blog.
Thanks Brad!!
And what will I do now that I am stuck indoors for the next two days? I can’t bake anything because I have to go early Monday morning for fasting lab. Even though my blood sugar always is a bit below normal I definitely don’t need to load up on sweets before I have lab. It is too messy outdoors to clean so that leaves reading and computer.
I am reading a book by Lisa Jackson called Running Scared. It has 512 pages and I am 1/3 of the way through it.
“Fifteen years ago in Boston, Kate Summers made a bargain: she became the mother of a perfect, beautiful newborn baby, and she promised she would never breathe a word about the adoption to anyone. Now Kate has built a good life for herself and her son, Jon, in a small town in Oregon. She has almost forgotten her fear that he will somehow be taken away. Then Daegan O'Rourke arrives in town and strikes up a friendship with her and Jon. Daegan has his own past to hide - one with shocking ties to hers. Someone is searching for Kate and her son and is willing to go to any lengths to claim him. And the one man Kate is tempted to trust has dangerous secrets that could change her world forever. Soon, the past Kate thought she could outrun will explode, unearthing a legacy of lies and treachery and a fury powerful enough to kill.”

Have a peaceful weekend. Stay safe and be happy!!

So happy you can see the LIGHT now out your window.. hate being in a dark room all the time even with a light on. Hope you stop getting the white stuff we are getting it now. Stay warm and well and Prayers for you always XoXo
ReplyDeleteyay for brad!!! i'm so glad you have light in your kitchen once again!
ReplyDeleteWell now! I bet that Brad was a sight for sore eyes and I also imagine that walking into your kitchen not expecting to see the light this morning was as well. So sorry that January and February are in cahoots!
ReplyDeleteSo happy Brad did such a great job on the window! The book sounds like one I would enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWell now you can look out your window in the kitchen and see all the snow! So glad the project is completed and you will have an enlightened kitchen and clear view! Glad you can check that as "finished." Now to wait for winter snows to be finished as well.
ReplyDeleteYour bi#^#*n worked! Very nice window too. That is the kind I want over my kitchen sink. Easy clean too. Brad took his shoes off, such a well mannered man.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got more snow than us. Have a nice weekend Beth.
All right! The window rocks, and I thank they guy who put it in.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie

ReplyDeleteOur weather is very similar I think. Many inches fell last night...even as I read we'd broken snowfall records set in the seventies. We're spending the day watching "Game of Thrones".
ReplyDeletei have never had a worker that took off their shoes, NEVER!!
ReplyDeleteperhaps if i did not have a garage, i would not like the snow either ;)
Beth, All that new snow...YUCK. I am so glad it's Feb. already. That was very nice of the repairman to keep things clean. So happy you finally have your window. I love having a window above my sink. Good wishes for your Monday fasting tests. Take care. xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteSunny and warm here today.
I wonder if that snow is on the way here.
So glad you finally got that window fixed! Now you have one more window to look out and enjoy all of that snow! lol...Have a good rest of the weekend!
ReplyDeleteYikes Beth, I feel for you having to deal with snow on your car. What a pain. I'm spoiled because of the garage. What a nice man, and i'm so very happy you got the window fixed. It for sure paid for you to rattle a few cages to get something done. Unreal!
ReplyDeleteAnd we think we got alot of the white stuff. I'm glad you got your window in and I love it. You take care when you go outside in that. Blessings
ReplyDeleteGlad Brad got your window fixed. Now you watch the snow fall outside. :(
ReplyDeleteThe book sounds good. I love mysteries.
I am sorry you got the snow - there is nothing worse then being stuck in the house for days and days.
ReplyDeletewell, we are gonna have rain for 4 days or so. 2 " tomorrow but that beats snow! I LOVE that you put your foot down and got your window! I have a Dr appt Monday for a Dexascan and one on Tuesday that I mentioned to you on the phone. THEN I will be done I hope.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting quite a bit of snow today here in Montreal...but it is nice and mild.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great read! I'll have to look that one up and get it on my kindle. I told my husband how I am amazed at all the snow I see on here. I just wish for a little that would stay on the ground for a least a week:)
ReplyDeleteOh no! More snow?! We didn't get any this time, but we've had a few hours of freezing rain/sleet, icy streets and sidewalks. I think I rather have snow! LOL. I slipped a couple of times when I took Vern out earlier, but luckily didn't fall. You be careful, Beth! And that's great about Brad, the nice man!
ReplyDeleteI remember Kate.
ReplyDeleteAha! and now I know the whole story!
DeleteThat is wonderful you have your window repaired, now more light.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how people who unable to take the snow off their vehicles get on!
I am so glad that you finally got your window replaced! Yay! I will be even happier when it quits snowing.
