“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
Wednesday morning and the weather forecast is not looking good. It is not raining yet but it is coming, up to 4 inches by Friday!
I can look outdoors now and see a tiny bit of green in the grass. I can also see that the house catty corner around from me has a big mess still remaining. I think the house has been abandoned. The debris is filling the yard again and getting in the street. I would be mighty upset if I lived next door to the house. Others in the neighborhood are rebuilding but that one house is not. I don’t know if it is an insurance problem or what but the least they could do is clean up the debris.
I am not sure what I will do today. I have cleaned all of the house and I even got the mopping done yesterday. I have done my exercising and had a Carnation Instant Breakfast (strawberry).
I think I might fix some pork chops today as I have had chicken all week in every imaginable way and now I am ready for something different.
Have a wonderful day. Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
You do the same! Pork chops sounds really really good to me.
ReplyDeleteHope that rain doesn't cause too much flooding for you in your area.. sure don't need that. We may get freezing rain and some more white.. Not sure.. guess the whole country is still in a winter mode. Hope your week goes well Prayers for you always, Xoxo
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I have lost the taste for pork chops no matter how we make them. Well they say your tastes change as you get older. Guess that must be it. Enjoy yours and have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteBeth, Sounds like a good reading day. I know what you are saying about the mess. Even if they are having insurance problems...the lawn should be clean.... It looks like we are in for rain for a couple days. Oh big bummer. Hope your lunch is wonderful...I think you must be a darn good cook. I cook on the fly any more. LOL. xoxo, Susie
ReplyDelete26 degrees and grey once again for today. I'm very winter weary now but I know it can't last forever.
ReplyDeleteThat is my fervent hope Joe that winter will get tired of hanging around and poof it will be spring.
DeletePork Chops sounds like a great alternative after all it's the other white meat.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, Things definitely looking greener and more springlike here. Hope the rest of your week is good - Hugs Nita
ReplyDeletefunny - i was craving pork chops yesterday. :)
ReplyDeleteDreary day here but hoping no rain will come. Will let ya know when daffodils pop up - not yet! We don't like pork chops but tenderloin pork roast is good because it is always tender! Hubby raking mud! Be glad you don't have to do that!
ReplyDeletei like the quote!! i haven't had pork chops in ages!!
ReplyDeletei never have any trouble keeping busy!!
I never had any trouble keeping busy when I was young As i have grown older, I have to manufacture things to keep busy. ;-)
DeleteYou inspired me Beth....made salmon patties with your creamed peas...spring rains are coming to Texas....things are beginning to bloom....your time is not far away! love the Audrey Hepburn quote....happy thoughts indeed!
ReplyDeleteVery smart saying from Audrey Hepburn.
ReplyDeleteI wish that I could send some sunshine your way. We have a very pleasant day after a number of rainy days.
Stay strong and the clouds will move away, - - - - - they have to.
You have been busy, Beth, the house down the street could do with some of your energy, maybe it's all that chicken you've been eating. I hope the rain isn't going to prove awkward.
ReplyDeletegosh thats a lot of rain, we are sick of chicken as well, time for a change! Take care Beth,
ReplyDeleteI have some chops too for when E comes home this weekend. xox
ReplyDeleteHope that you enjoyed those pork chops...sounds so good. If you are seeing a bit of green grass, things are really looking up!
ReplyDeleteWe had pork chops yesterday for supper.
ReplyDeleteI like the quote!
We had drizzle today but more rain is on the way.
I hope we all get some sun and green grass soon! And I hear you on the chicken. My daughter doesn't like red meat and hubby just decided he would like less of it, too. I've made so much chicken lately I could cluck. Tonight was easy, chicken breasts and a jar of salsa in the crockpot. Easy. Served on soft tortillas. I would spice it up more the next time.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I am late getting around today- working my way backwards through the reading list. We are supposed to get freezing rain tonight. Do you think it will ever end? And you are getting a lot of rain on Friday. It is a crazy year all the way around. I am chickened out, too! lol xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOur weather report doesn't sound too good for the next couple of days either. Snow - sleet - not my idea of spring.
ReplyDeleteHope you have had an enjoyable Wednesday. The things you fix yourself for dinner always sound so delicious! Enjoy what's left of the week.
ReplyDeleteGreat quote! I wish we could have some of your rain here in arizona

Enjoy the rest of the week, Beth. I hope something will be done about that sad house. Spring is coming in slowly here, but surely. I opened the windows in our bedroom and the two cats loved it. The fresh air felt so good. Bertie
ReplyDeleteI like fried and grilled pork chops.:) Your cooking reminds me of my grandma.:)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing very well. :) I bet you're looking forward to baseball. :))

A lot of truth in what Audrey said.
ReplyDeleteGreen tinge, a great thing to see from your point of view and mine. You after winter, me after summer :)
Pork chops sound like a great idea. I think I will make them for Bill when he comes home next week.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear about your work schedule. Seems to be enjoyable. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteI love chicken Beth whether it be a roast or a curry or salad lovely.
ReplyDeleteI thought Audrey was a wonderful gentile lady , and I love that quote.
