Wednesday and….

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

Wednesday morning and the weather forecast is not looking good.  It is not raining yet but it is coming, up to 4 inches by Friday!

I can look outdoors now and see a tiny bit of green in the grass.  I can also see that the house catty corner around from me has a big mess still remaining.  I think the house has been abandoned.  The debris is filling the yard again and getting in the street.  I would be mighty upset if I lived next door to the house.  Others in the neighborhood are rebuilding but that one house is not.  I don’t know if it is an insurance problem or what but the least they could do is clean up the debris.

I am not sure what I will do today.  I have cleaned all of the house and I even got the mopping done yesterday.  I have done my exercising and had a Carnation Instant Breakfast (strawberry).

I think I might fix some pork chops today as I have had chicken all week in every imaginable way and now I am ready for something different.

Have a wonderful day.  Stay safe and be happy!!

Beth

  2. Hope that rain doesn't cause too much flooding for you in your area.. sure don't need that. We may get freezing rain and some more white.. Not sure.. guess the whole country is still in a winter mode. Hope your week goes well Prayers for you always, Xoxo

  3. For some reason I have lost the taste for pork chops no matter how we make them. Well they say your tastes change as you get older. Guess that must be it. Enjoy yours and have a nice day.

  4. Beth, Sounds like a good reading day. I know what you are saying about the mess. Even if they are having insurance problems...the lawn should be clean.... It looks like we are in for rain for a couple days. Oh big bummer. Hope your lunch is wonderful...I think you must be a darn good cook. I cook on the fly any more. LOL. xoxo, Susie

  5. 26 degrees and grey once again for today. I'm very winter weary now but I know it can't last forever.

  12. Very smart saying from Audrey Hepburn.

I wish that I could send some sunshine your way. We have a very pleasant day after a number of rainy days.
Stay strong and the clouds will move away, - - - - - they have to.

  13. You have been busy, Beth, the house down the street could do with some of your energy, maybe it's all that chicken you've been eating. I hope the rain isn't going to prove awkward.

  18. I hope we all get some sun and green grass soon! And I hear you on the chicken. My daughter doesn't like red meat and hubby just decided he would like less of it, too. I've made so much chicken lately I could cluck. Tonight was easy, chicken breasts and a jar of salsa in the crockpot. Easy. Served on soft tortillas. I would spice it up more the next time.

    XO,
    Jane

  20. Our weather report doesn't sound too good for the next couple of days either. Snow - sleet - not my idea of spring.

  23. Enjoy the rest of the week, Beth. I hope something will be done about that sad house. Spring is coming in slowly here, but surely. I opened the windows in our bedroom and the two cats loved it. The fresh air felt so good. Bertie
