It is drizzling here but I am hoping to be able to go to a couple of garage sales this morning. It has rained all night long so they may have been rained out. I haven’t been to one garage sale this season and I can’t wait!
Yesterday my daughter and I went to Kohl’s and Costco in East Peoria. Since the new Costco opened last year there have been numerous stores and restaurants opened there.
This building was built last year. I think it is fascinating. So beautiful. Notice the clock in the tower. The clock is how the building got its name. http://www.centralillinoisproud.com/story/clock-tower-place-opens-in-east-peoria/d/story/wOvYXl3BLkef1ycPdnqNEg
This photo shows what is housed in this building.
In the distance in this photo you can see part of the East Peoria skyline.
Have a great weekend!Stay safe and be happy!!
Beth
Beth, Some wind went through here around 3;30 am ...woke me. But so far this morning, it's only cloudy , not raining. I like the way that building looks too. Hope you have a wonderful day, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteHope your garage sales didn't get rained off - lovely day here today in the UK (although a little breezy) but tomorrow (when we are due to go to a festival) the forecast is for rain al day - fingers crossed that changes!

ReplyDeleteThat town has really changed it appears. My daughter lived there for a short time after college around 2002 and worked for lawyers downtown. The building with the clock tower is lovely. Wish all towns would build in such a lovely way.
ReplyDeleteI love these photos, Beth, and your header is absolutely gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I shop in that area, too. We have tried out a couple of the restaurants and the food was good. Sadly, I can't remember the names. One was a sandwich shop we liked a lot. I love that building, too.
ReplyDeleteLots of rain here at the jersey shore as well, more tomorrow!! That is a really pretty building!!
ReplyDeleteRainy night in Georgia, too.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a blessed Mother's Day.
We hope to close on the house on Friday.
Our heat and humidity are beginning to increase.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I hope you got some bargains at the garage sale Beth, sometimes you can strike lucky, we don't get many garage sales here, as there are many charity shops, but we have Car boot sales most Sundays, but they start at 7.30m in the morning, a bit too early for me. I can't make a comment on the building as it's not something I could get excited about. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Mother''s Day weekend!
ReplyDeleteAn interesting post thank you I love clock towers I don't know why I just find them bloody interesting
ReplyDeleteGlad you and your daughter enjoyed shopping together. Happy Mother's Day to you.
